Young American Yevgeniy Timoshenko topped a field of 257 players to take down the top prize of $500,000 at the StarWorld Galaxy Hotel and Casino Asian Poker Tour in Macau at the weekend. 
Timoshenko, whose previous largest live win was around $160,000 at the Irish Open in 2007 obliterated the final table at the event, knocking out six of his seven opponents including Joon Hee Yea whose K-Q could not overtake Timoshenko’s Q-Q in the final hand of the tournament.
The final table payouts at the tournament were:
- Yevgeniy Timoshenko — $500,000
- Joon Hee Yea — $250,000
- Rober Karian — $126,000
- Casey Kastle — $90,000
- Julio Diaz — $67,500
- Quang Nguyen — $52,500
- Chong Wing Cheong — $37,500
- Michael Pedley — $26,250
