Timoshenko Takes Down Asian Poker Tour Macau

Young American Dominates Final Table at APT Macau to Take Home $500,000


Young American Yevgeniy Timoshenko topped a field of 257 players to take down the top prize of $500,000 at the StarWorld Galaxy Hotel and Casino Asian Poker Tour in Macau at the weekend. Yevgeniy Timoshenko

Timoshenko, whose previous largest live win was around $160,000 at the Irish Open in 2007 obliterated the final table at the event, knocking out six of his seven opponents including Joon Hee Yea whose K-Q could not overtake Timoshenko’s Q-Q in the final hand of the tournament.

The final table payouts at the tournament were:

  1. Yevgeniy Timoshenko — $500,000
  2. Joon Hee Yea — $250,000
  3. Rober Karian — $126,000
  4.  Casey Kastle — $90,000
  5. Julio Diaz — $67,500
  6. Quang Nguyen — $52,500
  7. Chong Wing Cheong — $37,500
  8. Michael Pedley — $26,250
