Fahredin Mustafov’s Second Win Headlines Latest WSOP Europe Champions

Jules Ayoub And Anca Eggenberger Also Seized Their First Bracelets In Prague

As the 2026 World Series of Poker Europe main event reaches its later stages, there’s been considerable action elsewhere at the Hilton Prague.  Three more gold bracelets have been won over the last few days, with the events including a pair of different bounty formats and the inaugural WSOP Europe Ladies Championship.

Shaun Deeb has stolen many of the early headlines at this festival, thanks to his pair of runner-up finishes that both improbably ended with him running into quads on the final hand. He lost to a European in both instances, and a trio of Europeans continued the clean sweep through the first half of the WSOP Europe schedule.

Fahredin Mustafov of Bulgaria captured his second career WSOP bracelet, and first in the live arena, in a single day €2,200 no-limit hold’em bounty event. Before that, Germany’s Jules Ayoub marked a career milestone with his first major title in his €565 PLOSSUS bounty win.

And for the first time ever, WSOP Europe awarded a ladies championship bracelet. Anca Eggenberger made it an Easter to remember, taking down her first bracelet in the €1,000 buy-in event on April 5.

With a little less than a week of action to go, here’s what you may have missed over the last few days at WSOP Europe.

Mustafov Makes It A Double In Turbo Bounty

Fahredin Mustafov made his name in tournament poker in recent years as an accomplished high-stakes regular. His Onyx Super High Roller Series title and numerous Triton final table appearances pushed his career earnings north of $10 million.

At WSOP Europe, however, Mustafov proved he can navigate a much different kind of field, too. He emerged victorious in the fast-paced €2,200 turbo bounty no-limit hold’em event with $163,783 and bounties. He claimed his second career WSOP bracelet, adding to his 2025 WSOP Online $25,00 GGMillion$ super high roller championship that came with $956,138.

Mustafov also earned 912 Card Player Player of the Year points, pushing his total for the year to 2,040. That moved Mustafov up to 18th in the yearlong standings presented by CoinPoker.

The field of 904 entries in this event made for a prize pool of nearly $2.1 million, with 137 finishers making the money. Mustafov was hardly the only notable player to run deep. Two-time bracelet winner and double World Poker Tour champion Erick Lindgren went out in 11th place, and fellow WSOP/WPT winner Matthew Wantman finished in sixth ($28,095).

Mustafov eliminated five of the final eight players in the tournament, including the last four. That added another $5,000 in bounties to his total prize. Mustafov had his pocket aces cracked three-handed by eventual runner-up Bahram Chobineh, but persevered. He knocked out third-place finisher Mateusz Szymanski ($75,532) with AK against A7.

After opening up a big heads-up lead, Mustafov won a coin flip against Chobineh to bring the tournament to a close. His pocket threes were looking to hold off Chobineh’s AJ, and although Chobineh picked up a straight draw, the small pair held true in the end.

Eggenberger Wins WSOP Europe Ladies Championship

The WSOP Europe schedule has evolved over the years to include a number of different games, formats, and structures. But until 2026, the WSOP ladies championship, which has long been a staple of the schedule in Las Vegas, did not always have a corresponding tournament in Europe.

In fact, it was only on the schedule once before. In 2013, when the WSOP Europe was in Cannes, Jackie Glazer defeated 65 entries in the €1,100 event. She netted €21,850 and a bracelet.

Organizers brough it back this year and saw a huge jump in the field size compared to 13 years ago. This year, 197 women put up €1,000 to battle it out for the gold. On Easter Sunday in Prague, Anca Eggenberger of Switzerland emerged victorious, earning $46,343 and her first career bracelet. Eggenberger joins an exceedingly short list of Swiss bracelet winners, which includes 2023 WSOP $25,000 high roller winner Alexander Vuilleumier and two-time WSOP Europe winner Emil Bise.

There were quite a few notables who reached the money, including current UFC strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern, who finished 24th. Olga Iermolcheva (27th) and Lexy Gavin Mather (26th) also fell a couple of tables shy of the title.

Esther Taylor made the final table in the ladies championship. She’d ultimately go out in sixth, at the hands of the eventual champion. This deep run came shortly after Taylor narrowly missed out on the WSOPE Colossus final table, finishing 10th in that event for $12,518.

The chip counts heading into heads-up play between Eggenberger and Eunbeen Joo were close, and Joo pulled away early. But a pair of doubles pulled Eggenberger back into the match and set up the final hand. With nearly identical stacks, Eggenberger’s A7 took on Joo’s 109. Both players improved on the QJ6 flop, and Eggenberger secured victory when the 5 turn made her an unbeatable spade flush.

Ayoub Claims PLO-ssus Victory

Jules Ayoub didn’t have a long list of live tournament results coming into the €565 PLOSSUS event. But what Ayoub did have was PLO experience, which seemed to serve him well. Ayoub bested a field of 1,120 entries to win his first bracelet. This was the first live title of any note in the PLO bounty event.

He earned $58,397, prior to any bounty prizes he collected for each of his eliminations throughout the tournament. Ayoub also secured 480 Card Player POY points.

For a €565 buy-in event, this tournament featured some heavy hitters at the final table. Runner-up Daniel Rezaei is a bracelet winner and Triton champion, both won over the last four months. Third-place finisher Adam Geyer has over $3.8 million in lifetime earnings, with multiple close calls in major events. Fourth-place finisher Vincas Tamasauskas won an online WSOP PLO bracelet in 2021.

Fabrice Soulier (16th), Josh Arieh (22nd), and ‘Texas’ Mike Moncek (28th) also ran deep in this tournament.

At the start of the final table, Ayoub and Rezaei were the top two stacks, but Rezaei took most of Ayoub’s chips with a flopped set of fives. But by the time Ayoub eliminated Geyer in third, he’d picked up multiple bounties and evened the chip counts. Ayoub took control of the match when he flopped bottom two pair and then hit a runner-runner ten-high straight against Rezaei.

On the final hand, the chips got in on a Q62J board. Ayoub turned over KQJ7, for top two pair and heart draw. Rezaei was in trouble with AQ72, needing an ace or deuce to survive and double. The 6 river kept Ayoub’s hand best, earning him the victory.

Rezai walked away with $38,065 and 400 points. He now sits in 11th place in the POY standings with one title and four final-table finishes so far in 2026.
