While Jason Koon stands alone with 12 Triton Poker titles, there has been a pileup of elite players all stuck on the same number of trident trophies. The seven-way tie for second was finally broken on Saturday, March 28. Punnat Punsri took down the 2026 Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju $30,000 no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha mixed event to earn $504,000 and his sixth title on the tour.
Punsri now has sole claim to second place on the Triton titles leaderboard, leaving a six-way tie for third between five-time champions Bryn Kenney, Mikita Badziakouski, Danny Tang, Phil Ivey, Michael Watson, and Matthias Eibinger.
This victory pushed Punsri’s career haul to nearly $34.9 million, extending his already gigantic lead on his home country of Thailand’s poker earnings leaderboard. He now has more than a $28.8 million lead over second-ranked Kannapong Thanarattrakul.
“Initially, when I started to pursue tournaments, it was partly to put Thailand on the map in a mind sport that people maybe overlooked, or don’t totally understand,” Punsri told Triton reporters after this win. “Over the past three years, the most proud thing I’ve done is pushing the movement towards potentially legalizing poker tournaments in Thailand. As of now, we are already acknowledging that it’s a mind sport back home, so that’s a huge thing. I’m always very proud to represent Thailand against elite opponents on an elite stage like this.”
Punsri had a career year in 2025, making 27 final tables and winning four titles to finish second in the Card Player Player of the Year standings presented by CoinPoker. He is off to a fantastic start again in 2026, with seven final-table showings and this one victory pushing him inside the top ten already. His 2,143-point total is currently good for eighth place, with 504 points coming from this win in Jeju. He also finished third in a $3,000 pot-limit Omaha event during the Triton One festival and fifth in the $100,000 no-limit hold’em main event.
Breaking The Tie
Only the top 10 finishers earned a share of the $1.8 million prize pool in this NLH/PLO affair. Big names like Patrik Antonius (10th), Biao Ding (9th), and Jesse Lonis (8th) fell on the march to the final table. The final seven posed for a photo before taking their seats to battle for the trophy. Zhou Quan held the chip lead when play resumed, with Punsri in third chip position.
Three-time Triton champion Daniel Dvoress (7th – $87,000) was the first to fall, with Hungarian PLO crusher Laszlo Bujtas (6th – $112,000) not far behind. Punsri scored both of those knockouts, which propelled him to the top of the chip counts. Eibinger, one of the previously discussed five-time champions on this tour, then bowed out in fifth place ($144,000). He was sent packing by Daniel Rezaei, who won the $60,000 buy-in NLH event earlier this series for $1.9 million.
World Poker Tour champion and bracelet winner Matthew Wantman got all-in with A♦10♣ leading the A♣4♣ of Zhou, but the Chinese player spiked a four and held from there to win the pot and narrow the field to three. Wantman earned $183,000 for his strong showing.
There were plenty of swings during an extended three-handed clash. Eventually, Rezaei flamed out in third place ($240,000), with Punsri landing the final blow. He took 40 big blinds into heads-up play with Zhou, who had just eight big blinds to work with. The Chinese player mounted a valiant comeback effort, but was ultimately unable to keep up the momentum. The final hand took place during a round of no-limit hold’em. Zhou got his last chips in ahead with A♣J♠ against the 5♥3♥ of Punsri, but the board came down A♦K♦2♣4♥3♠ to give Punsri the wheel and the title.
