It came down to the wire, but Brock Wilson closed the 2026 PokerGO Cup with two wins, three final-table finishes, and four cashes to secure the series champion honors.
Over the course of the series, Wilson cashed for $390,220 and accumulated 467 PGT points. As PokerGO Cup champion, Wilson earned a $25,000 PGT passport towards future event buy-ins on the tour.
Wilson defeated fellow double PokerGO Cup champion Filipp Khavin by the narrowest of margins. It was a back-and-forth battle throughout the series, starting with Khavin’s victory in event no. 2. In that tournament, Khavin beat out a field of 111 entrants in the $5,300 buy-in event to secure his first ever PGT title.
The 31-year-old poker pro earned his third career PGT title in event no. 4, besting a field of 104 in another$5,300 no-limit hold’em tournament. He then returned to the winner’s circle a few days later with another win in event no. 6, outlasting 70 players in that $10,300 buy-in event.
A Late Scramble
Wilson remained in the lead for player of the series honors until Khavin struck again in event no. 8. Khavin’s second victory, over 70 players in a $10,300 event, gave him a slight lead heading into the final weekend of the 2026 PokerGO Cup.
By the midway point of day 1 in event no. 10, it was officially a two-player race. Khavin fell short of finishing in the money, meaning that Wilson simply needed a cash to reclaim the lead in the final tournament of the series.
Wilson reached the money, securing player of the series honors, and then played his way to the final table. He ultimately finished in sixth place, with Andrew Lichtenberger eventually claiming the title.

Wilson joined an impressive list of previous PokerGO Cup champions that includes Daniel Negreanu, Jeremy Ausmus, Jonathan Little, Joey Weissman, and Cary Katz.
The 2026 PokerGO Cup also reshaped the PGT season-long leaderboard. Yuri Dzivielevski still sits on top after his commanding mixed game performances, but the next three spots are all occupied by PokerGO Cup standouts. Lichtenberger climbed to second, followed by event no. 5 champion Michael Berk, Wilson, and Qinghai Pan, who cashed five times and made three final tables over the course of the PokerGO Cup.
The next stop on the PGT is the PGT PLO Series at Venetian, which runs from March 18-29. Action returns to the PokerGO Studio on April 10, with the start of the 2026 U.S. Poker Open.
