Comedian Was All In On PokerGO's High Stakes Poker With The Nut Flush Draw Against Andrew Robl

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart recently joined PokerGO’s “High Stakes Poker.” Losing a pot of more than half a million dollars was no laughing matter for the funny man.

The game featured blinds of $500-$1,000 with a $1,000 big blind ante. High-stakes regular Andrew Robl raised to $7,000 from the big blind with QQ and $1 million in his stack. Hart, who had straddled to $2,000, immediately three-bet to $27,000 with A10 and another $225,000 in front of him.

Robl called and the flop brought 764. Robl was almost a 55% favorite to win the hand at this point, according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator. But with a nut flush draw, Hart still had almost a 44% chance to collect the chips.

After Robl checked, Hart fired $50,500. Robl then announced all in and Hart called the last of his $175,000. With the pot totaling $505,500, the two agreed to run two turn and river cards.

“You’re ahead for now,” Hart said, needing any diamond or ace to hit the board to win.

A Turn For The Worse

The first turn brought the 7 as Hart continued saying “diamond, diamond” in hopes of completing his flush. However, the river brought the 9 and the first runout went to Robl.

The second turn produced the 8, which gave Hart the chance for a straight as well if a 9 landed on the river. A 5 would also deliver a split for that half of the pot by putting a straight on the board. But the river instead brought the 10s – a clear disappointment for the star of films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Central Intelligence, and Ride Along.

“Oh, that’s great, I got my 10,” Hart quipped as Robl collected a mountain of chips and cash.

Hart Gets Praise From Hellmuth

While he may be known more for his hit movies and standup comedy, Hart is no stranger to poker. He recently received some praise from 17-time World Series of Poker champion Phil Hellmuth for his skills at the table.

In 2018, the 46-year-old won a hand by calling an all-in bet on the river with just king high on the “PokerStars Championship Cash Challenge Series.”

Robl has been one of the most successful players in streamed cash games over the last few years, amassing almost $10 million in winnings in those appearances, according to High Roller Poker.

In August, he won $180,000 in 90 seconds after picking off a massive bluff from Kirk Brown while holding pocket aces. The same month, he picked up a pot of more than $400,000 by cracking pocket kings.
