Opportunities to pick up points on the season-long PokerGO Tour leaderboard are quickly shrinking. With just over a month left to qualify for an automatic spot in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship, and several players in the top 40 falling short of a minimum number of results, a spot in the field could come down to a matter of just a few points.
The results of three $5,300 high rollers at the Texas PLO Roundup may well make the difference in that race for one or multiple players. Most notably, Stephen Hubbard, in the midst of a run to victory in the PGT PLO main event at Champions Club Texas in Houston, made time to claim a high roller title, too.
Hubbard Takes Center Stage (Twice)
Nobody had a better week in Houston than Hubbard. He claimed a $215,000 share of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool in his main event victory, along with 215 PGT points. He added another $36,000 and 36 additional points with his win in the first of three high rollers during the festival.
With those two wins, Hubbard rose to 100th place on the PGT leaderboard. While that’s not enough for an automatic qualification, there are two PLO high rollers and an 8-Game Mix event on the WSOP Paradise schedule that could put Hubbard, a PLO specialist with some mixed game experience, over the top if he continues his hot streak.
Runner-up Jordan Glazer is on quite a run in his own right. After posting a win and two runner-up finishes at NAPT Las Vegas, representing his best career live tournament results, Glazer headed to Texas and logged two more second-place finishes. He sits in 116th place on the PGT leaderboard.

Andreadis Notches First Notable Live Title
In the second of the three PLO high rollers, Brevin Andreadis claimed the belt buckle trophy and $38,500. It’s his most notable live victory, and the second-largest live result of his career. Andreadis, who is from Cincinnati, defeated two-time WSOP bracelet winner Bryce Yockey heads-up to secure the victory.
Yockey would go on to play heads-up in the high roller finale of this Texas PLO Roundup festival.

Yockey Closes Successful Series With Victory
Yockey, who fell just short of victory the previous day, ended his trip to Houston with a belt buckle of his own. He and Glazer had each finished second in a previous high roller, with Yockey getting the best of this finale.
Yockey recorded three cashes during this festival, taking 25th in the main event, along with his two high roller results. He added 63 PGT points to his total for the season, bringing his total for the year to 1,176. That’s good for 27th place overall, well within the cutline for the $1,000,000 PGT Championship, but the margin of the threshold may require further results for Yockey to lock down his spot in the tournament.
