PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona festival is one of the true highlights on the poker calendar each year, consistently delivering memorable performances and moments. The robust slate of high roller events is a fertile ground for standout performances, and 2025 has been no exception.

While there have been notable victories for the likes of Jeremy Ausmus, Punnat Punsri, and Brock Wilson, David Coleman has understandably stolen a lot of headlines. Over the course of a single week, Coleman finished as runner-up in no less than four high roller tournaments. While a spade trophy has eluded Coleman so far during this trip to Barcelona, he’s won $2,275,217 over those four events.

Well over half of that prize money was earned in the €100,000 high roller, won by Leon Sturm. And as we take a deeper look at some of the other early high roller events from this festival, you’ll get a clearer picture of just how impressive Coleman’s run has been.

From the very first day of the EPT Barcelona festival, the high rollers were out in force. By the time registration closed in the first of the bigger buy-in events, 77 entrants put up €10,200 for this mystery bounty tournament. Half of the buy-in went to the main prize pool, and the other half was distributed in mystery bounties.

Punnat Punsri was the biggest winner on both fronts. He collected more from bounties ($111,150) than his first-place payout ($99,126), largely because he and Coleman made a deal heads-up. For second, Coleman won a combined $199,575 when all of his bounties were factored in. While Coleman’s name will pop up again a little later, so, too, will Punsri’s.

This result, worth 350 Card Player Player of the Year points, was the first of three final tables through the midway point of the festival for Thailand’s all-time money leader. Those combined points in the Card Player POY race, presented by CoinPoker, pushed Punsri into the top 10.

The third-biggest winner of the tournament was actually fifth-place finisher Klemens Roiter. He won $96,525 in bounties alone, more than the total prizes and bounties won by third-place finisher Geoffrey Mooney and Masato Yokosawa, who took fourth.

Other notables who finished in the money in this early event include Juha Helppi (6th), Justin Zaki (7th) and Cherish Andrews (10th).

As the final table of the mystery bounty played out, a single-day event offered another chance at collecting bounties in Barcelona. There were a total of 20 players and 22 total entrants for the €12,300 no-limit hold’em cuatro bounty, and Brock Wilson walked away with the victory. He claimed the spade trophy, the $109,301 first-place prize and $42,120 in bounties. Wilson also added 180 Card Player POY points.

With this result, Wilson continued to climb up the leaderboard. He currently sits in 76th place overall.

Ausmus earned his third trophy of 2025 at his 11th final table, taking down a €20,000 no-limit hold’em event for $372,869. With his win, Ausmus tacked on 432 Card Player POY points, elevating him to ninth on the overall leaderboard. He outlasted a field of 63, which generated a prize pool of over $1.4 million.

Coleman once again settled for second place, though the payout was close due to another heads-up deal. This second time around, Coleman banked $342,106.

In a €30,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em high roller, Roiter broke through with yet another win. With a field of 57, and a prize pool of $1.94 million, Roiter won the title outright for $594,108 and 420 Card Player POY points. That put Roiter in 13th place in the standings.

Coleman won $389,493 with his latest second-place showing. With 350 additional POY points, and his runner-up in the €100,000 no-limit hold’em super high roller result, Coleman rose to 65th in the Card Player standings thanks to his spree in Spain.

Nick Petrangelo (3rd), Byron Kaverman (6th) and Ausmus (7th) also made this final table.
