Famous Irish Festival Sees 129 Six Survivors With Final Live Satellite Tonight


Irish Olympic medal heroes Paddy Barnes and Michael ConlonThe Irish Winter Festival main event (the Irish Masters) gets underway at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin tomorrow Saturday October 27.

The three-day no-limit hold’em event has a buy in of €1,000 + €125 and will see 129 players take part in the “competition within a competition” – Six Survivors.

Six Survivors saw all online qualifiers eligible to take part in a last longest during the tournament with the winner taking down an Irish Open 2013 seat.

Tonight, Friday October 26 sees the final chance to qualify on the cheap with a €100 + 15 buy in live satellite at the venue.

The festival is famous for its unique events and fun atmosphere. This year the nine side events include the Irish Mythical Championship and a Doubles event which will see a host of big names and celebrities including Irish Olympic boxing medalists – Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlon – take part.

Last year the main event was won by John Keown who topped the 395-strong field and took home €100,000.

The event is open to all spectators to pop in, have a look, join in the fun and maybe play some poker.
