Alessandro Meoni Takes €166,000 Top Prize In Northern Italy


Italian Alessandro Meoni has won the PokerStars Italian Poker Tour San Remo main event at Casino San Remo.

The Supernova Elite finished top of the 375-strong field in the €2,000 + €200 buy in no-limit hold’em event.

He faced freeroll qualifier Raffaele Bertolucci heads up but in the final hand his A-K hit top pair on the flop and despite an inside straight draw materializing for Bertolucci’s T-9, Meoni’s hand survived.

3: Julien Norbert Dolay — €71,500
4: Nicolo Allisiardi — €53,500
5: Andrea Dato — €36,000
6: Omar Rodriguez — €29,000

8: Giuseppe Zarbo — €14,000
9: Davide Bonometti — €10,710

The Italian Poker Tour next moves to Campione from August 30 to September 3, 2012 for its third stop of season four.
