The 2010 World Series of Poker Circuit Northeast Regional Champion is none other than poker veteran Chris Bell from Raleigh, North Carolina. Bell outlasted a top-notch final table that included Micah Raskin, Todd Terry, Nick Mitchell, Andy Frankenberger and his eventual heads-up opponent, Chris Klodnicki.
It was a long and grueling final table with seven hours elapsing before the first player busted out. In the end, it was the two chip leaders who were left to battle it out for the title and the first place prize of $358,295.
It took a bit of a cooler, but the chips eventually went in the middle with Bell’s set of threes outlasting Klodnicki’s top pair and open-ended straight draw. Klodnicki was fighting for an unprecedented back-to-back victory, but ultimately fell just short.
The win was Bell’s second major of the year after earning his first gold bracelet in event no. 46 of this summer’s WSOP. His lifetime winnings now total over $2.5 million.
Here’s a look at the final results.
