Thomas Boivin has been red-hot over the past year, cashing for more than $8.7 million on the international circuit in that span. The Belgian high-stakes pro has made the money in 33 events in the past 12 months, with 14 scores of six-figures or more. His latest came in the 2026 Lucky Hearts Poker Open $25,500 no-limit hold’em high roller. Boivin defeated 28 entries to earn $310,255 and the title, his tenth career win.
The three largest cashes of Boivin’s career all came during the second half of 2025. He placed third in both the $100,000 and $250,000 high rollers at the World Series of Poker, earning $1.2 million and $2 million, respectively. Then, in December, he finished fifth in the $250,000 invitational at the WSOP Paradise for another $2.3 million.
This latest win in Florida got his 2026 off to a strong start. It also increased his lifetime haul to nearly $17.4 million, extending his lead on Belgium’s money list.
In addition to the trophy and the money, Boivin also earned 252 Card Player Player of the Year points for his win at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. This was his first POY-qualified score so far.
Giuseppe Iadisernia was the runner-up in this tournament, earning $187,700 for his efforts. The final hand saw the chips go in after a flop of 10♥7♥5♦, with J♦7♣ for Iadisernia trailing the K♦10♣ of Boivin. The K♠ turn and A♦ river kept Boivin’s hand best to bring the tournament to a close.
Iadisernia scored a double knockout on the bubble, sending both Justin Saliba (5th) and Manuel Fritz (4th – $76,075) packing when pocket aces held against pocket kings for Fritz and pocket nines for Saliba. Iadisernia then busted Anatoly Nikitin in third place ($117,570) to set the final showdown for the title.
