Event 7 – $1,070 No-Limit Hold’em
A total of 165 entries were made in event no.7 of the 2013 Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas, each posting the $1,070 buy-in to build a prize pool of $160,050. After two full days of play, it came to an end when Pierce McKellar made a deal three-handed with Matthew Moore and Kirill Kruglov that saw McKellar declared as the victor, earning $30,835 and 312 Card Player Player of the Year points for the win.
This event drew a number of notable players, some of whom made deep runs including Dana Kellstrom (15th – $2,401), A.P. Phahurat (11th – $3,201, Brock Parker (9th – $4,401) and Brett Shaffer ($4,802).

The eighth event of the CPPT Wynn drew 115 entries, building a prize pool of $55,775. The top thirteen players made the money, with the winner set to walk away with $15,618.
The final table is set, and chip leader of the last nine players is Theo Tran with 484,000. Champie Douglas, who finished seventh in event no. 6 just days earlier, has 2300,000 heading into his second final table of the series.
