
O’Neill was the final table chip leader at the start of play while his heads up challenger, Patrik Chahmiran was second in chips.
However it was an aggressive O’Neill working 1.95 million in chips to Chahmiran’s 0.5 million who proved the stronger and despite a spirited comeback by the Frenchman in the end it was A-Q’s domination of A-J which won the title for O’Neill.
