The World Poker Tour returns to the Montesino Casino in Vienna, Austria for the 2012 WPT Vienna after a smashingly successful inaugural run last year. This year’s nine-event series kicks off on April 4th and will continue through the 15th. With buy-ins starting as low as €340 and reaching as high as €10,000, this event truly has something for everyone.
Of course, the highlight of the series is the €3,500 main event which begins on April 10th with the first of two starting days and continues until a champion is crowned on the evening of the 15th.
Last year’s debut of this tournament saw a field of 555 players set the record for a European WPT event, building a € 1,776,000 prize pool. The last man standing was Dmitry Gromov. For the win, the Russian pro earned €447,840 ($636,733) and 1,440 Card Player Player of the Year points.
