Julian Thew returned to winning ways at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham, England at the weekend taking down the Monte Carlo main event for £62,000 – his first major win since June 2009.
The £250,000 guaranteed event had a buy in of £1,000 and attracted 291 players creating a prize pool of £291,000.
It attracted a lot of high profile players such as Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott, James “Flushy” Dempsey, Jon Kalmar and Toby Lewis
Three-handed a deal was struck between Thew, Tom McDonald, and Sunny Chatta.They received £62,547, £60,000 and £52,000 respectively.
