The final World Series of Poker Circuit event for 2009 begins on Friday, Dec. 4 at Harrah’s Atlantic City in New Jersey. The tournament series will feature 17 events, and the $5,000 no-limit hold’em championship will run Dec. 13-15. The series concludes on Dec. 20 with a $1,100 satellite for the 2010 WSOP. Last year, Brent Roberts (pictured left) beat 178 opponents in the $5,000 no-limit hold’em championship to take home the top prize worth $280,040.
All tournaments will spread no-limit hold’em. There will be a $300 ladies no-limit hold’em tournament on Saturday, Dec. 12. All tournaments with buy-ins of $1,500 or more will feature a deep-stack tournament structure. The 120-table poker room will also feature single-table satellites 24 hours a day during the tournament series. Interested players can call the tournament room at 609-441-5741 for more information.
