Per Strom Elimited In 8th Place ($4,730)

The flop came down J T 4 giving Per a glimmer of hope. However the turn sealed his fate when it came down Q giving Sergey the nut straight. The river was the 3 and Sergey took down the pot.

Sergey is now expanding his chip lead and holds over $110,000.

Set vs. Set

On a flop of Q 4 5 Per Strom moved all-in and was called by Stan Fulton. Both players held sets with Per showing 5 5 and Stan holding Q Q.  Per was in rough shape and besides the hope of a chop when the turn came a T he fell short when the 2 hit the river.

Stan doubled up to $50,000 and Per was knocked down to $5,000.

On the very next hand Per was able to triple up and get his stack out of critical condition.
