Updates on Final Day (Jun 19, 07)

Level Up

Blinds are increasing to $2,000/$4,000 with a $500 ante.

James Denbow Doubles Up Again

Paul Testud raises to $9,000 and James Denbow moves in for $7,000 more.  Testud makes the call and shows his 7-5.  Denbow is way ahead with A-6.  The board comes J-10-2-4-9 and Denbow doubles up yet again.

After the hand, Ben Battle stands up and says, "We can't get rid of this American!"  Battle is hoping for a three handed all European final.  Yes, I'm surprised C.T. Law is from England as well.

C.T. Law Doubles Up

Paul Testud raises to $12,000 and C.T. Law moves in for $21,500 more.  Testud makes the call and shows A 6.  Law shows J 3 and needs some help to stay alive.  The board comes J 9 7 5 3, and Law doubles up.

James Denbow Doubles Up

James Denbow is all in for his last $13,500.  C.T. Law makes the call and shows A 2.  His hand is badly dominated by Denbow's A Q.  The board comes J 10 9 10 5, and Denbow doubles up.

C.T. Law Takes A Pot

Ben Battle raises to $8,000 and C.T. Law makes the call from the big blind.  The flop comes A 10 10 and Law checks.  Battle bets $8,000 and Law quickly check raises him to $16,000.  Battle thinks for awhile and asks how much Law has left.  When he sees his stack of $5,000 chips, he realizes that it is quite alot more.  Battle just makes the call.  The turn is the 5 and Law bets out $22,000.  Battle immediately folds saying, "Take it, Lucky."

Chip Counts

The chip counts for the four remaining players have been updated.

Level Up

The blinds are going up to $1,500/$3,000 with a $500 ante.

Jacobo Fernandez Eliminated 5th Place ($10,405)

Jacobo Fernandez raises to $6,500 and Paul Testud raises to $18,500 total.  Fernandez makes the call and both see the Q 7 3 flop.  Fernandez bets out $10,000 and Testud raises all in immediately for about $70,000 more.  Testud has Fernandez covered, and Jacobo agonizes over his decision for a full five minutes.  Eventually, after the clock is called on him, Fernandez makes the call showing A 7.  He is in bad shape, however, to Testud's A Q.  The turn and river come Q 6, and Fernandez is our Fifth place finisher.  After the hand, Testud has become the new chip leader.  Official chip counts to follow shortly.

James Denbow Doubles Up

James Denbow pushes all in for his last $12,100 under the gun.  Paul Testud calls from the big blind and shows A Q.  Denbow is in trouble with K 10.  The board comes 9 4 3 7 10, and Denbow catches a Ten on the river to double up through Testud.

John Roveto Eliminated 6th Place ($8,510)

John Roveto moves all in for his last $16,000.  Ben Battle calls fairly quickly with J J.  Roveto shows A K and we're racing.  The flop improves both players which is bad news for Roveto.  It comes A J 4 10 6 and Roveto is our Sixth place finisher.
