Barton Takes Down Another

From the button, Reka Hallgato raises all in for $75,000 and gets a call from Shanee Barton in the small blind and Mary Jones in the big blind.  Flop comes AclubQdiamondJdiamond, both players check.  The turn brings the 3club and Barton fires out $100,000.  Jones calls and the river is the 2heart.  Barton moves all-in for $585,000 causing Jones to fold.  Hallgato who was all-in pre-flop shows 4club4spade and Jones flips over Kdiamond10diamond for broadway.  Hallgato is eliminated in 4th place and takes home $51,324.
 

Sue Lockenbaugh eliminated in 5th

Sue Lockenbaugh calls out of the small blind and Shanee Barton checks from the big blind.  The flop comes 8diamond7diamond5spade, Lockenbaugh checks and Barton bets $30,000.  Lockenbaugh calls and the turn comes Jclub.  Lockenbaugh checks again, Barton bets $100,000.  Lockenbaugh calls and the river comes the 5club.  Lockenbaugh moves all-in for her last few remaining chips and Barton calls.  Barton flips over 8-5 for the full house and Lockenbaugh shows 9-7 for  two pair 7's and 5's.  Lockenbaugh is eliminated in 5th and will take home $41,095.  Barton is closer to the million mark at $950,000.
 

Shanee Barton Doubles Up & Julie Allen is Eliminated

Julie Allen raises all-in for her last $24,000 on the button, Shanee Barton calls from the small blind along with Mary Jones in the big blind.  The flop comes 8club8heart5diamond.  Barton checks, Jones bets $50,000.  Barton re-raises to $100,000, and is re-raised by Jones to $200,000.  Barton pushes all-in for $330,000 total and Allen calls.  Shanee Barton holds 5spade5heart, Allen has KclubQclub, Jones has Kheart8diamond.  Barton flopped a full-house, Jones a set of 8's and Allen is basically drawing dead.  The turn is the 7spade, and the river brings the 3spade.  Allen is eliminated in 6th place, while Barton doubles up through Jones to $670,000.  Jones is still in second place with $460,000.
 

Devi Ortega Out in 7th

Mary Jones raises from mid-position to $40,000, Devi Ortega re-raises all-in from the big blind for $130,000 total.  Ortega is holding pocket 10's while Jones is holding Aheart8heart.  The flop comes Qheart5diamond3heart giving Jones a flush draw.  The turn is the 2heart giving Jones the Ace high flush leaving Ortega drawing dead.  The river brings the 10club for Ortega's set but it is of no help.  Ortega goes home with $30,794 for 7th place.  Jones now has $590,000.

Barton Puts On the Pressure

Julie Allen raises to $25,000 from the cut-off and Shanee Barton calls from the button.  The flop comes down 9spade6diamond3spade and Allen checks and Barton puts Allen all-in and Allen folds.  Barton collects the pot and now sits with $230,000.
 

Lorrie Scott Eliminated

Mary Jones makes a raise from middle position to $40,000 and Laurie Scott moves all-in for $90,000 from the big blind. Jones makes the call.  Jones shows Aclub7club and Scott turns over 3club3heart.  This is a classic race situation, the flop comes down Adiamond6heart4diamond and Jones is in the lead with a pair of Aces.  The turn and river are no help for Scott (4spade9club) and Scott is eliminated in 8th place earning $25,662 for her efforts.
 

Stranzinger Adds to Her Chips

Beatrice Stranzinger has stolen the blinds the past two hands and adds to her chip count currently hovering around $240,000.
