Cliff Josephy Bio

Cliff ?JohnnyBax? Josephy is one of the original legends of online poker. Formerly a Wall Street player who played on the side, he transitioned to online poker full-time when the company he worked for shut down. The Syosset, New York, resident likens his new career as a poker pro to a retiree ?doing a little something extra during his retirement.?

Josephy consistently held the top spots on some of the most respected online poker tournament leader boards for the early part of his foray into online poker.

Josephy has had significant success since venturing into brick-and-mortar poker tournaments. In the short time he?d been playing live, he?d already won a World Series of Poker bracelet, in the 2005 $1,500 seven-card stud event ? which was the first time he?d ever played stud. He also finished in second place it the 2006 UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic championship event, which was good for about $447,000.

Josephy also helps run a poker training site called PokerXFactor.com with fellow poker player and friend Eric ?sheets? Haber.
