Isaac Haxton - Bio
Isaac Haxton has always excelled in school, but soon after beginning a pursuit toward a computer science degree at Brown University, he decided to take some time off to pursue poker. Encouraged by his parents, Haxton learned to play at a young age but didn't become serious until after high school. His father saw potential in him and was completely behind his son's decision to take time away from college. Having been mostly an online cash game player, Haxton's transition to live tournaments was very smooth.
In his first major tournament cash, Haxton took home nearly $862,000 when he placed second in the 2007 World Poker Tour PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure. At the 2007 World Series of Poker, he cashed three times, including a seventh-place finish in a $1,000 no-limit hold'em event.
When Haxton is away from the poker tables, he enjoys video games and reading. He also still plans to finish school.
