Gowen knocks out DeKnijj in 15th place and Wu in 14th place, but there is some confusion regarding the elimination order for spots 16-14 (you can read more about this below in Left in the Deck). In any case Gowen now holds just over 2 million.
Nick Schulman's Swan Song
Nick Schulman was the short stack left in the field with 13 remaining and he decided to move his chips into the middle to make something happen. Two times for him this worked out well, as he doubled up with king-high to take his stack to 303,000, and then he doubled up again with sevens-up to jump up to 580,000. He eventually met his doom though, when he moved all in preflop with pocket jacks against Justin Young, who held A-K. The board was dealt A-K-10-3-3 to send Schulman to the rail in 13th place. He will take home $72,060 in prize money.
Left in the Deck:
To the Tapes
The Bellagio tournament staff is currently reviewing the elimination hands for Tom Pniak, Martin DeKnijff, and Jack Wu. The staff said that it looks like both hands began simultaneously so they are now firguing out how to split up the prize money for places 16-14. We'll let you know if they break it down by stack sizes or just divide things evenly among the three, and how the payouts are adjusted when that information is released by the tournament staff.

Gowen: Q Q
DeKnijff: A J
Wu: A Q

Tom Pniak Elimimnated in 16th Place ($57,635)

Clonie Gowen Scores a Double Knockout
Martin DeKnijff moved all in under the gun and Clonie Gowen moved all in over the top of him from the small blind. Jack Wu made the call from the big blind and Gowen had both of her opponents covered. Their cards:
Gowen: Q Q
DeKnijff: A J
Wu: A Q
Board: 6 5 2 2 10

Big Hands:
Set No Good, Rheem Takes a Hit
Action folded around to Ivan Demdidov in the cutoff. He raised it up to 650,000 and action folded to David "Chino" Rheem in the small blind. He repopped to 2 million total and Demdidov went into the tank. When he came out of the tank, he announced he was all in for almost 8 million. Rheem took some time of his own to think about what to do before making the call. He turned over 10 10 . He was in good shape against Demdidov's 9 9 . The crowd went nuts as the hands were set up for the cameras. The flop then came 10 8 6 , giving Rheem top set but also giving Demdidov a variety of outs. The turn brought the 4 and Demdidov spiked a flush. Rheem needed to pair the board to win the hand, but the 5 sealed the deal for Demdidov, who moved up to about 18 million. Rheem dropped down to 8 million.
Darus Suharto Doubles Through Joe Bishop
Bishop raised to 700,000 from the button and Darus Suharto repopped from the big blind. He made it 2 million to go and Bishop made the call. The flop came Q 6 5 and Suharto led out with 2.5 million. Bishop came over the top, moving all in for almost 10 million. Suharto made the call and turned over K K for an over pair. Bishop showed top pair on the board with A Q . The turn was the 6 and the river was the 2 and Suharto doubled up.
Bishop Doubles Another
Bishop raised to 600,000 from the cutoff and action was next on Kelly Kim in the small blind. He moved all in for about 2 million and Bishop called, showing 8 7 . Kim was in great shape as he showed 8 8 . The board ran out A 10 10 7 2 and Kim doubled up and Bishop was down to 2.4 million.
Bishop Trampled By the Wheel on the River, Busts in 11th Place
The fall of Joe Bishop would be complete a few hands later. He moved all in from under the gun and action folded around to David Rheem. He made the call and showed 2 2 . Bishop turned over A 3 and was racing against ducks. He flew ahead on the flop as it dropped A 5 3 . Bishop had two pair and Rheem needed another duck or a four to bust Bishop. The turn was a blank as the Q hit the felt. But the river brought chaos as the miracle 4 showed up, knocking Bishop out of the main event and sending Rheem's supporters into a frenzy.

Dean Hamrick raised to 550,000 preflop and Ylon Schwartz reraised to 2.2 million. Sitting behind Schwartz, chipleader Dennis Phillips asked for Schwartz's chip count and crossed his arms to think. He announced a reraise and popped it to 6 million straight. Big Hands and Storylines
Jason Glass Doubles Through Paul Snead
Jason Glass moved all-in from middle position for his final 280,000 and action folded around to Paul Snead in the big blind. Snead thought for a bit and eventually spoke up: “I will give you some action and.... call.” The cards were turned up: Snead had 4 4 and Glass had A 4 . The camera crew shrouded the table from the view of spectators, so Snead called out to his family that he was way ahead. The flop was K 9 5 , and Snead remained way ahead. The turn was the 3 . Before the river card was dealt, Snead requested of the dealer, “Don’t make it a red deuce!” The river? The 2 .
Snead rose from his chair, ripped the temporary Full-Tilt logo from his hat, and emphatically slammed both the logo and his hat into a nearby garbage can. Snead took his seat only to realize that he had another Full-Tilt logo on his shirt. He stood from his chair a second time, folded up the Full-Tilt logo, and calmly dispensed it in the garbage.
After the hand Snead was down to 650,000.
Geert Jans Eliminated in 62nd Place
Geert Jans found himself in prime position to double up when he was all-in with AAcs against Nikolay Losev’s QJdh on a board of Q76hch. His happiness did not last long though. The turn card was the Qc, and when the river came the 9s, Jans found himself taking the slow walk away from the playing area. For his 62nd place finish he will take home $115,800.
Marquis Makes Nines Work
Brian Tatum was operating with a shortstack and was under the gun when he raised to 125,000. Play folded around to Craig Marquis who reraised to 325,000. Tatum then moved all-in for another 385,000 and Marquis called, showing 9 9 . Tatum was live with A J , but missed the flop that came K K 3 . The 3 on the turn was another miss, and the K filled the board but improved Marquis’ hand at the same time. Tatum was eliminated in 63rd place.
Chris Zapf Doubles, Then Busts
Garret Beckman raised from middle position to 80,000 and Chris Zapf moved all-in for about 250,000. Beckman made the call with Q J and his cards were live against Zapf’s A K . The board kept Zapf’s lead safe, however, and he managed to double up to 520,000. Later in the level, however, Zapf's luck would come to an end and he would be eliminated in 66th place.
Osterland Stands his Ground
Felix Osterland raised to 100,000 and David Rheem was quick to call from the next seat in the cut-off position. The rest of the field folded, and the flop came down Q 7 5 . Osterland bet 100,000 and Rheem again followed him into the pot. Osterland then checked when the 10 showed on the turn, and Rheem took the opportunity to bet 200,000. Osterland then fired back with an all-in check-raise for another 875,000. Rheem decided to lay his hand down.
Michelle Hits and Runs, and Runs
Tiffany Michelle raised to 90,000 preflop, and was called by Marquis in the cut-off and Jamal Kunbuz in the big blind. The flop came 8 6 5 , and after Kunbuz checked, Michelle bet 275,000. Both of her opponents folded. A few hands later Michelle was moved to another table to balance the field. Then a few hands after that, her new table was broken down and she was moved once again.

Vos Busts On Final Hand of Day 5 - 80th Place ($77,200)
After Dennis Phillips raised to 65,000, Mark Vos reraised to 180,000. Phillips repopped it to 400,000 and Vos moved all in for 1,500,000. Phillips made the easy call and showed A A . Vos held A K and was in horrible shape. The board ran Q 9 3 10 2 and just like that Vos, who had an above-average chip stack before the hand, was eliminated on the final hand of the night.
Matros Fills Up, Busts Silber in 86th Place ($64,333)
Reagan Silber fired out a bet of 100,000 on a flop of Q 7 6 and Matt Matros raised, making it 300,000 to go. Silber moved all in and Matros wasted little time calling. Matros held 7 6 for two pair on the flop, but Silber was drawing at the nut flush with A 9 . The turn was the 6 , giving Matros a full house and ending the drama they would have otherwise had to endure. The 5 hit on the river and Matros eliminated Silber and reached the 2 million mark.
The Reigning Aussie Millions Champ Is Gone in 84th Place ($64,333)
Alexaner Kostritsyn raised to 65,000 and was called by Garrett Beckman from the button. Kostritsyn checked the flop of 10 6 4 and Beckman fired 90,000. Kostritsyn check-raised all in for 395,000 and Beckman took several minutes to think over his decision. He eventually called and showed 7 7 , which he quickly saw was ahead of Kostritsyn's A K . The 2 and J completed the board and Kostritsyn was eliminated.
Hellmuth Gets Keayed
Aaron Keay raised to 80,000 before the flop. From the small blind, Hellmuth raised to 220,000, and Keay made the call. The flop came A J 5 , and Hellmuth fired out for another 140,000. It didn't take long for Keay to move all in, and it took even less time for Hellmuth to fold his hand. Phil's stack went down to around 900,000 after the hand. He recovered slightly the next hand, raising to 65,000 preflop to take down the blinds and antes.
A Brick Saves Joseph Money
On a board of 10 4 3 , Jeremy Joseph fired 100,000 into a pot of about 200,000. The player on the button mucked, but Suresh Prabhu made the call from the big blind. The turn was the 8 and both players checked. The Q fell on the river and Prabhu led out for 200,000. Joseph looked off in the distance, clearly frustrated. "That is a brick," Joseph said about the final card. He then threw his hand in the muck. Prabhu showed 4 4 for a flopped set of sailboats and a rivered full house. Joseph smiled as he was around 1.6 million after the hand.
Staying Alive
Alex Outhred got all in preflop against Michael Carroll and the players showed their hands. Carroll showed 9 9 , but Outhred had two overs with Q J . The flop hit Outhred hard, running A Q 10 to give him middle pair and the better flush draw of the two. The 4 turn and 8 kept clear of Carroll's hand and Outhred doubled to around 675,000.
Chinotown
Sean Davis raised to 75,000 before the flop, and was called by two players, Cristian Dragomir and David "Chino" Rheem. The flop ran out 10 5 2 . All three players checked to the turn, which brought the 3 . Dragomir fired out a bet, pushing Davis out of the hand. Rheem made the call, and Dragomir checked the river, the 5 . Rheem bet out 240,000, and Dragomir made the call, but threw his cards into the muck after Rheem turned over the K Q for the rivered flush.
Nobody Wants to Play with Mikey
For a guy who just shoved with suited 10-5, Mike Matusow has been having a hard time getting any action at the ESPN feature table. Here's a look at a day of poker with the Mouth:
Owen Crowe raised to 66,000 from the cutoff. From the button, Mike Matusow then reraised to 201,000 total. Everyone folded, and Matusow flipped over pocket kings.
Later in the round, Matusow raised to 82,000 preflop. Everyone folded again, and Matusow flipped over pocket jacks.
Later in the round, Matusow raised from the button to 77,000. The players in the blinds, including Phil Hellmuth, folded once again. This time Matusow flipped over A-K. He was unable to find any more action this evening, ending the day with around 1.2 million.
Phe Phi Pho Phum
Cristian Dragomir raised preflop to 82,000, and only Phi Nguyen made the call. The flop came Q J 3 , and both players checked to the turn, which brought the 7 . Nguyen led out for 110,000. Dragomir then raised to 300,000, only to have Nguyen move all in. Dragomir tanked for some time before making the laydown.

Chip Leader Adds to His Stack, Then Gets Tripped Up
The pot held almost 500,000 in chips. The flop had come out 9 8 8 and chip leader Jeremy Joseph was heads up against Will Brewin. Joseph unloaded a buckshot of 210,000 into the massive pot. Brewin went into the think tank for almost five minutes. If he made the call, he would be left with very few chips and be pot committed. After thinkiing for so long, Brewin mucked his hand and Joseph took the massive pot. He was almost at the 3,000,000 mark.
Later, a flop of J J 6 hit the felt and Joseph checked to Cristian Dragomir. Dragomir fired 110,000 into the pot. Joseph made the call and the turn brought the 2 . Joseph checked again and Dragomir unloaded 200,000 more into the pot. Joseph called again and the river was the K . Joseph checked one more time and Dragomir blasted 345,000 into the massive pot. Joseph called again and Dragomir showed A J for a set. Joseph mucked his hand and lost a huge pot.
Rheem's Ladies Break Billirakis' Heart
David Rheem raised to 30,000 preflop and Steve Billirakis pushed all in for about 260,000. Rheem quickly called and showed Q Q . Billirakis turned over 8 8 and the board ran out J 9 3 7 2 and Billirakis was out of the main event. Rheem's stack grew to around 2 million in chips.
Hellmuth Building Back Up
Phil Hellmuth raised to 40,000 from early position and was called by the player on the button in seat 1. The flop came down 8 7 6 was checked by both players. The turn brought the 7 and Hellmuth again checked, as did his opponent. Both players checked the 9 on the river and Hellmuth announced "ace-queen," which was good enough to take the pot.
A few hands later, Hellmuth raised to 30,000 and the same player made the call from seat 1. The flop came K J 3 and both players checked. When the 2 fell on the turn, Hellmuth fired 30,000 into the pot. Seat 1 made the call and the J fell on the river. Hellmuth bet enough to put seat 1 all in, inducing a fold. Hellmuth showed 3 3 for a set on the flop and a full house on the river. He then carried about how he wished his opponent would have hit any piece of the board.
Then, Adam "Roothlus" Levy in seat 6 got under Hellmuth's skin by critiquing Hellmuth's play of the hand. Despite the annoyance, Hellmuth was at 570,000.
Cantu Needs No Flush
Seat 2 raised to 26,000 from late position and was called by Brandon Cantu along with the big blind. The flop came down 9 8 4 and everyone checked. The turn brought the 6 and everyone passed again. The river was the 6 and was checked one more time. Cantu turned over A 4 for bottom pair, good enough to take the pot despite a four card flush showing on the board. Cantu was amongst the chip leaders with 1.6 million in chips.

David "Chino" Rheem Takes a Hit
Sep 14, '08
On a board of 7-4-2-A-A, David "Chino" Rheem checks and his opponent across the table bets 5,000.
Rheem mulls over his decision, eventually asking himself out loud if his opponent could have possibly called a flop bet with A-5. Rheem picks up his cards and flashes A-3, meaning his is beat by any ace or full house.
Eventually, Rheem calls, throwing the chip over to his opponent, calling it a gift. The player excitedly shows pocket deuces for a full house and Rheem takes a hit down to 33,000.

Phillips Wins 3 Million Preflop
Dean Hamrick raised to 550,000 preflop and Ylon Schwartz reraised to 2.2 million. Sitting behind Schwartz, chipleader Dennis Phillips asked for Schwartz's chip count and crossed his arms to think. He announced a reraise and popped it to 6 million straight. Hamrick mucked immediatley and Schwartz only took a few seconds to do the same, giving Phillips an additional 3 million for his already large chip stack without even seeing a flop.
Montgomery Crushes Chip Leader
Dennis Phillips raised to 500,000 and Scott Montgomery reraised to 2.2 million. Phillips made the call and the flop brought J 10 6 . Phillips checked, Montgomery bet 1.5 million and Phillips called. The turn was interesting, bringing the K . Phillips checked again and Montgomery bet 2 million. Phillips called and the river brought the 9 .

Big Hands:

Big Hands:

Big Hands:
