Fox Takes a Hit Doubling Up an Opponent
While in the big blind, Stuart Fox faced an all in raise of 47,000 more from his opponent on the button. Fox made the call and turned over A J , a raise against his opponent’s 3 3 . The flop brought what Fox was undoubtedly dreading, 10 3 2 . The Kc on the turn gave some hope of an inside straight, but the 5 on the river failed to deliver.
Brent Hanks Makes the Call of the Day, Eliminates Alan Jaffray
On a board of A Q 10 6 , Brent Hanks found himself put to the test by Alan Jaffray. After making a bet, Hanks was raised all in by Jaffray for an additional 66,300 in chips. Hanks went into the tank and deliberated silently for several minutes while Jaffray waited patiently for his opponent to make a decision. Hanks looked and Jaffray and tried to explain his dilemma by saying, “I could be drawing dead if I make this call.” Hanks counted out 66,300 from his stack and paused for a few moments before announcing a call. Jaffray turned over K K , a semi-bluff with a king-high flush draw and an inside straight draw. Hanks pumped his fist as he turned over A 9 for one pair, aces. The 3 came on the river, and Hanks immediately stood up to shake Jaffray’s hand.
Brogdon Makes a Laydown to an Opponent’s Aggression
Edward Brogdon raised to 9,000 from his position in the cut-off, and the action folded to his opponent in the big blind. After asking how much Brogdon had behind the raise, the big blind just called. The flop came A A 8 , and the big blind checked. Brogdon continued the aggression by making a bet of 14,000, which was called by his opponent. Both players checked when the 6 fell on the turn. The dealer put down the 9 as the river, and the big blind led out with a bet of 20,000. After deliberating for several minutes, Brogdon ultimately folded his pocket jacks face up.

J.C. Tran Eliminates Ken Hennum, Sends Players into the Money
J.C. Train raised to 8,000 pre-flop for the third consecutive hand, but this time Ken Hennum took his stand and moved his remaining stack into the pot. Tran made the call and turned over K 9 , dominated by Hennum’s A K . Hennum spiked an ace on the flop, but Tran made running nines to crack the hand and end the bubble period.
As is protocol in World Series of Poker evens, the break was postponed until the end of the bubble and play continued under the current level until the bubble was broken. Tournament supervisor Bill Bruce announced that additional time would be added to the next level to accommodate for the missing hand-for-hand time.
The players then went on a 20 minute break.
Several Players Ship it in After the Break
As is expected in a large multi-table tournament, many of the tournament’s shortest stacks began to risk all of their chips pre-flop as soon as the bubble boy was eliminated and all remaining players were guaranteed a payday.
Simon Ravnsbaek was one of the first, pushing in his remaining 20,000 from early position in an open pot. The action folded to Joe Tehan, currently one of the tournament leaders, on the button. Tehan pushed out two stacks of purple 500 chips, indicating a call. The action folded to the player in the big blind who deliberated for several minutes before ultimately releasing his hand. Ravnsbaek turned over A 4 , an underdog against Tehan’s 8 8 . The flop fell J 9 7 , a very favorable outcome for Ravnsbaek, giving him the nut flush draw, a gut-shot straight draw, and an overcard for a total of 15 outs. The turn brought one of them, the J , while pairing the board. Tehan now needed either one of the two remaining jacks or the two remaining eights to regain the lead. The 9 on the river paired the board again, failing to make Tehan’s hand.
On another table, Men “the Master” Nguyen raised to 8,000 pre-flop from the cut-off. Gil George immediately moved all in for less than Nguyen’s bet from the button. Both blinds folded, and Nguyen turned over A 10 . George was in a coin flip situation with 5 5 , but the 7 6 5 flop had Nguyen drawing quite thin against George’s set of fives. The turn brought the 3 , meaning that Nguyen’s only chance of getting any chips was a four on the river for a split pot. Instead, the river was the J and George successfully doubled up.

Big Hands
Liu Eliminates Liebert
The player under the gun started a trend by limping for 400, and two others followed before play came to Kathy Liebert on the button. Liebert sensed weakness and pushed all-in for 4700, but J.J. Liu to her immediate left in the small blind then raised over the top all-in. Everyone folded and Liebert showed A 7 . Liu held 10 10 . The flop came Q 7 6 , and the 4 on the turn gave Liebert a flush possibility. However the 9 on the river meant the chips were shipped to Liu.
Men Traverses Dangerous Board
Men Nguyen was on the button and called a late position raise to 1100. Mark Seif, a chip leader in the tournament and in the big blind, also called to see the flop and it was three-way action. The flop came A A 4 , Seif checked and the original raiser bet 1650. Nguyen called and Seif folded. The turn brought the A , and the original raiser bet another 3100. Nguyen wasn't to be deterred and called again. The J came on the river, and after the original raiser checked, Nguyen fired out for 5000. He took the monster pot uncontested.
Tehan Makes Recovery
After getting shortstacked in the early going, Joe Tehan has bounced back to have over 20,000 in chips. From the cutoff he open raised to 1050 and had the small blind call. The flop came K 8 5 and both players checked. The 9 followed on the turn and after the small blind checked, Tehan bet 1600. The small blind folded and Tehan showed him the A before he mucked his hand.
Tran Continues to Dominate
Few players want to mess with a deepstacked J.C. Tran at his table. Tran raised from early position to 1200 and had two callers, including the big blind. After the K Q 3 hit the board, Tran bet another 3500 and both opponents folded.
Dannenmann Takes in Pot
Steve Dannenmann was in the small blind and called a preflop raise. After the board came A 8 5 , he check-called a bet of 1800 from his heads-up opponent. After the Q appeared on the turn, Dannenmann led out for 3000 and his opponent folded.

Shove Blind...Rebuy...Repeat
Shove blind...rebuy...repeat! That seemed to be the course of action for everyone at Table 18 during the last few hands before the rebuy officially ended. We caught up with Table 29 for the final three hands (two minutes) of the rebuy period.
Hand 1 - Seat 6 Wakes up With Queens
Peter Gould raised to 225 blind and seat 6 moved all in. Gould said, "Two minutes and counting boys!" (refering to the end of the rebuy period) as he called the all in raise blind for 3,700.
Gould: J 10
Seat 6: Q Q
Board: A 6 4 K 3
Gould picked up some outs on the turn, failing to improve by the river and seat 6 doubled up to just under 8,000. Gould opted for another double add-on.
Hand 2 - Queens Again...Unbelievable!
With a fresh double add-on in front of him, Peter Gould moved all in blind again and this time seat 6 called him, followed by Peter Neff, JC Alvarado and seat 7.
Gould: 9 8
Seat 6: Q Q
Neff: 10 7
Seat 7: A K
Alvarado: A Q
Board: J 5 4 4 2
Once again, seat 6 wakes up with queens while other players are shoving blind. This time it was five-handed and queens hold up once again. Seat 6 raked a monster pot while everyone else went digging again for more chips. "Quickly boys...we'll get one more hand in!", screamed Gould as everyone scurried for rebuys.
Hand 3 - Dust Settles, de Wolfe Up Over 30K
WIth the final seconds of Level 2 coming off the clock, the dealer managed to dish out four more double add-ons and start the third deal since Gould's two-minute warning. Once again Peter Gould shoved blind, followed by Peter Neff, and then called by Roland de Wolfe who was caught looking.
Gould: K 4
Neff: 10 2
de Wolfe: 7 7
Board: Q 8 8 6 2
Peter Gould was excited to see an overcard as he turned over his hand while Peter Neff was less than pleased with his hand. No one was as happy as Roland de Wolfe after the hand played out. His pocket sevens held up on the final hand of the rebuy period, and after all of the dust settled Roland de Wolfe had a clear chip lead at Table 29 of about 32,500.
Level 3 -- The Action Slows
Players have returned to more conventional play with the rebuy period behind us. Picking up blinds and laying down hands is the norm.
Players like David "The Dragon" Pham can play it either way. He won consecutive hands shortly after the level began, the first while playing under the gun. He raised to 475 and only the big blind called. The flop came 7 6 2 and after a check, Pham bet 750, enough to make his opponent fold.
The next hand involved the same two players with the same result. After his opponent, now the small blind limp-called, Pham raised to 650. He again was called and the flop came K 6 4 . His opponent checked, Pham bet 775, and again won the pot.
Tehan Takes a Hit
Joe Tehan called a preflop raise from the cut-off and saw the board come J 9 6 . The initial raiser bet 500 and Tehan called again. The turn was the 2 and both players checked. The 9 paired the board, and his opponent led out for 1200. Tehan seemed reluctant with his call, and was proven right when he called and ran into the A A of his opponent.
Clements Profits from Call
A raise from middle position made it 450 to play and Scott Clements made the call, as did the player in the big blind. The flop came K 9 8 , and all three players checked. The 2 came on the turn and after the big blind checked, the initial raiser bet 800. Clements and the big blind both called. The K came on the river, the big blind checked, and the bettor came out for 2200. Clements made the call and the big blind folded. Clements showed Q 9 , second pair that picked up the flush draw on the turn. His opponent mucked his cards.

So Long Luong
Gioi Luong raised preflop from under the gun, and was put all in by a reraise from Scott Freeman. Luong made the call, tabling A 10 and drawing thin against Freeman's A Q . Luong failed to improve, the board running out 6 6 4 8 K , and made his way out in 14th place.

Big Hands and Storylines:
Pop Goes The Bubble
Jeff Burdsall is our bubble boy in event 33. He got his last 10,000 chips in on 3rd street against David Benyamine in a very tight matchup. Burdsall had (A )(6 )5 and Benyamine had (A )(4 )8 . When the cards were on the felt, it was Benyamine’s ace-to-five straight – A 4 8 3 2 K 5 – that took down the pot. Though we are now in the money, don’t expect the speed of play to pick up too much. There are only a couple of short stacks at the moment; most of the players have fairly healthy stack sizes.
Hasan Habib narrowly missed going out in 25th place when he was all-in with (9 )(5 )A A against Kirill Gerasimov’s (3 )(3 )8 8 . Habib was granted a reprieve when he paired his 9 on 6th street, making him a better two pair and doubling him up to 28,000.
A few hands earlier at the same table, Barry Greenstein ended J.W. Smith’s night early (...at 12:45 a.m.) when he made a full house – fives full of eights – crushing any hopes that Smith had of making the money in this event.
Ganger (in) Control
Not all of the news in the last level was about short stacks busting out. Some players like Doug Ganger made their moves toward the top of the leaderboard. In a hand against Chris Ferguson and Jasper Lee, Doug Ganger made a straight on 5th street and both Lee and Ferguson called him down until 6th street. On 7th street, with boards reading:
Ganger: 4 5 3 9
Lee: 8 6 5 Q
Ferguson: Q 3 Q 10
Ganger bet again. Lee folded this time, and after a good bit of staring at the felt and shaking his head, Ferguson made the call. Ganger flipped 7 6 9 and scooped the pot, bringing him to 107,000. Ferguson has 100,000 left, and Lee was eliminated on the very next hand.

1,500 No Limit Hold'em Shootout - Level 6
Jun 09, '08
Blinds: 300/600 with 75 ante
Big Hands:
Play continues heads-up at six different tables in round 1 of the Shootout tournament. Round 2 is scheduled to begin one hour after the conclusion of the final table, but for the most part, players are content to shift chips between themselves, unwilling to risk their tournament lives.
Tehan Can't Put it Away
Joe Tehan had him right where he wanted him. On a flop of 10 3 2 , both Tehan and Minh Nguyen committed 1600 to the pot. After the 6 on the turn, Nguyen bet another 1600, Tehan raised to 4200, and Nguyen raised all-in, a move that Tehan snap-called. Tehan showed 5 4 for the straight, while Nguyen held 10 8 for top pair.
Nguyen was down to 600 in chips, just enough for the big blind. Tehan called without looking at his cards then showed 10-8. Nguyen held 9-7. The flop came J 7 5 , followed by the 2 2 , and Nguyen doubled up.
Both players then played the next hand blind as well, and Tehan's 9 4 trailed Nguyen's king-queen. Nguyen flopped a queen that held up to win the pot.
The third hand Nguyen pushed all-in blind again. Tehan again called. Nguyen held 7 7 while Tehan was dealt Q 9 . Nguyen flopped big, spiking a set on the K 7 5 board. Nguyen suddenly had just over 8000 in chips and play has since continued at a normal pace.
Smith Gets it Done
His small-stacked opponent pushed all-in preflop for 4500 and Danny Smith called with king-queen. His opponent held 10 5 . Both flopped possibilities when the board began A Q 3 , Smith with top pair and his opponent with a flush draw. The pair held up when the 9 came on the turn and J hit the river.
Gregorich Outlasts Gill
Carter Gill limped on the button and Mark Gregorich raised with pocket queens. Gill called with 9-8 offsuit, but the flop was all low cards and Gregorich won the table.
Pershad Perseveres
His opponent pushed his remaining 7000 in chips with ace-deuce and Servash Pershad called with king-seven. Pervash flopped two pair on the K-7-3 board, though a second 3 on the turn gave his opponent outs. Another 7 on the river filled Pervash's hand and gave him the victory.

Pot-Limit Hold'em - Action Packed Level As We Lose Four
Jun 04, '08
Blinds: 8,000 - 16,000
Players Left: 3
Chip Leaders:
David Singer - 905,000
Jacobo Fernandez - 885,000
Greg Alston - 360,000
Eliminations: Zachary King (7th Place), Joe Tehan (6th Place), Russ Harriman (5th Place), Robert Lipkin (4th Place)
Storylines:
The short stacks finally succumbed in level 18 as Zach King, Russ Harriman, Robert Lipkin and Joe Tehan hit the rail.
Big Hands:
Zachary King Eliminated in Seventh Place ($34,063)
With just over 80,000 in his stack, Zachary King was forced to make his move against Greg Alston. Unfortunately for the young online pro, his A 8 ran into the A A of Alston. King failed to catch any miracles as the board came down K 10 9 9 J to eliminate him in seventh place.
Russ Harriman Sucks Out on Joe Tehan
Joe Tehan has been taking abuse all day, and it continued even further when Russ Harriman shoved from the button. Tehan snap called from the small blind showing A J and was pleased to see Harriman's 9 8 . But the board came J 10 6 Q 4 and Harriman hit a straight to double up to around 105,000.
Joe Tehan Eliminated in Sixth Place ($43,796)
Joe Tehan got the rest of his short stack in with J 10 against the pocket nines of David Singer. The flop of A Q 2 gave him some extra outs, but the turn and river came 8 7 to brick out, sending Tehan to the rail in a disappointed sixth place. Tehan earns $43,796 for his efforts.
Russ Harriman Eliminated in Fifth Place ($55,474)
Harriman had been hovering around the 100,000 chip mark for quite some time before picking up pocket queens. The small all-in amount made it too easy for Greg Alston and he made the call with A J . The board rolled out A 3 2 5 5 and Harriman made his exit $55,474 richer.
Not too bad for his second career cash.
Robert Lipkin Eliminated in Fourth Place ($67,640)
After being relatively quiet the entire day, Robert Lipkin decided to make a move at the wrong time and his 7 5 ran into the pocket jacks of David Singer. The board didn't even come close to Lipkin's hand and he was eliminated in fourth place, leaving the remaining three players to battle for the bracelet.

Eliminations: Al Barbieri (8th Place)
Storylines:
Al Barbieri took a bad beat against Greg Alston and was forced to get the rest of his chips in on the short stack. Singer busted him and Barbieri was eliminated in eighth place.
Jacobo Fernandez has continued to defend his blinds at will and pick up big pot uncontested. With constant pressure, he has put a great deal of distance between himself and second place.
Big Hands:
Greg Alston Sucks Out To Double Up
Al Barbieri raised in late position and Greg Alston reraised out of the blinds. Barbieri put his opponent all in and Alston reluctantly made the call, showing pocket jacks. Barbieri confirmed his suspicions by turning over pocket queens. Things were looking good on a eight-high flop for Barbieri, but a jack on the turn gave new life to a very happy Alston. Barbieri wasn't exactly feeling the same way and after the hand, sat at just under 50,000.
Al Barbieri Can't Catch Up, Eliminated in Eighth Place ($26,764)
Al Barbieri got the rest of his stack in with K 6 against David Singer's A Q . The board rolled out A 9 2 4 10 and Sugar Bear was busted in eighth place, earning $26,764.
Tehan Takes Some From King
Zach King raised to 29,000 under the gun and got a call from Joe Tehan in the blinds. The flop came J 6 5 and King continued with a bet of 37,000. Tehan called and the turn was the 10 . This time around, Tehan bet 45,000 and King thought for a bit before calling. The river was the K and Tehan bet almost enough to put King all in. King thought for a long while, then decided to fold and save his remaining 84,000.
Jacobo Fernandez Tops 1 Million in Chips
Tehan didn't hold on to his chips for long, after giving roughly roughly 200,000 over to Jacobo Fernandez and his turned full house. This was one of the first hands that Fernandez had shown down, even though he is already up to 1.1 million in chips.

Storylines:

Big Hands:
Joe Tehan Falters Early
Play has been relatively cautious, but on hand no. 5, Joe Tehan raised to 20,000 and Greg Alston made the call on the button. The flop came J 9 7 and Tehan checked. Alston bet 26,000 and Tehan made the call. The turn was the 6 and Tehan checked once again. This time, Alston fired out 41,000 and Tehan was forced to muck his hand.
Jacobo Fernandez Defends His Blinds
It seems like blinds will be tough to steal from new chip leader Jacobo Fernandez. Each time someone has raised him, he has come over the top to shut it down.
Al Barbieri Wins a Monster Pot
In the first real showdown of the day, Al Barbieri limped in early position and Joe Tehan reraised to 28,000 from the small blind. Barbieri decided to call and both players saw a flop of K Q 6 . Tehan checked, and Barbieri bet 40,000. Tehan then check raised to 102,000 and Barbieri just called. The turn put three diamonds on the board when it came the 4 and Tehan decided to check. Barbieri instantly went all in for 153,000, and Tehan frustratedly mucked his cards. Barbieri showed pocket aces with the A as he took the pot.
After the hand, Barbieri was up to around 425,000 and Tehan was down to 265,000.

Eliminations: Ryan Fair
Storylines:
Players were still foraging with toothpicks and working on their dinner mints when the curtain came down on the 10-handed portion of play in the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em tournament at the World Series of Poker on Tuesday.
After considerable debate between players about whether to break for dinner or continue to a final elimination, the meal won out. Upon their return, it took all of two-hands to determine the nine players who will comprise the field for the final table on Wednesday.
Big Hands:
Barbieri Completes the Field
Al Barbieri raised to 28,000 from middle position, before Ryan Fair re-raised to 70,000. It took almost half of Barbieri's stack to make the call, which he did without much hesitation. The flop came down Q Q 10 , and Barbieri committed his remaining 64,000 in chips to the center. Fair followed with his remaining 55,000 to be all in. Barbieri showed he had flopped a monster -- A Q for trips. Fair showed J J . The turn and river brought no help and Fair was eliminated.
Mr. Bean Survives a Fall
In the first hand when play commenced, Glen Bean limped from the cut-off, while David Singer limped from the button. Robert Lipkin completed the trifecta from the small blind, while the big blind was dead money as Russell Harriman hadn't returned from the break. The flop came down J 5 5 and Lipkin checked to Bean who bet 15,000. Singer folded and Lipkin made the call. The turn brought the A and was checked by both players, then Bean bet out 50,000 when Lipkin checked after the 6 came on the river. Lipkin made the call and showed J 10 , while Bean was caught making a move with the Q 2 . Bean lost half of his 150,000 stack in the hand, before Fair busted out on the next deal.
Tehan Back From the Brink
Joe Tehan knew he was capable, but was the first to admit he would need help to reach the final stages of the tournament. He caught a two-outter on the river to stay alive on Day 1 of the event, and was sitting at just 8,000 in chips when Day 2 began. Average stack was just shy of 34,000.
Now he will begin final table play as the chip leader, with a stack of 458,000 in chips.
"The deck kind of ran for me early on, but it had too, I was so short-stacked," said Tehan. "I got 10s early, aces, kings, kings.
"I'm not all that surprised (to reach the final table). Pot limit is the kind of structure, especially without any antes, even with five or six big blinds you can still wait and be patient."
Tehan, who calls Vegas home, has made his first World Series of Poker final table. He played 14 events last year and had four cashes, including finishes of 13th and 15th. He also won a World Poker Tour title in 2006 at the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship.

Pot-Limit Hold'em - Level 15
Jun 03, '08
Players returned after enjoying an extended 20-minute break as tournament officials used the chance to color up the chip stacks. There are 15 players remaining in the field.
Blinds: 3000/6000
Players left: 10
Eliminations: Eric Shanks, Scott Seiver, Philip Yeh, Douglas Carli, Brandon Schaefer.
Story Lines:
Work Before Play -- But Not Food
With a rash of player eliminations as the clock wound down in Level 15, players suddenly had a choice to make. They were down to 10-handed, with one more elimination needed before an official final table would be declared. The question was, do they continue playing, or break for dinner? The kitchen can take it as a vote of confidence that the players opted for the meal, which for one player can double as the Last Supper.
Big Hands:
The calm before the storm had players at ease, as for the first 40-45 minutes flops were harder to find than a quality sit-com. But that all changed with a series of all-ins and player eliminations in the waning minutes of Level 15.
Seiver Busts Out in a Flurry
Scott Seiver battled for the chip lead much of the event, and authored the first elimination of the level when his A K bested the A 9 of Eric Shanks. Seiver hit the K on the flop and never looked back, taking about 65,000 from Shanks who finished in 15th place.
Seiver had earlier been active stealing blinds, though twice folded to check -raises, but suffered his first blow when his raise to 16,000 from the button was met by a reraise from Joe Tehan in the big blind. Tehan went to 48,000, but this time Seiver resisted and fired back to the tune of 144,000. Tehan had 163,000 in chips remaining when the decision loomed, and elected to push all-in, drawing the call from Seiver. Seiver showed 6 6 while a relieved Tehan had Q Q . The flop came 9 3 8 , and the 10 on the turn gave Seiver additional outs, but the 10 on the river shipped the pot of over 400,000 to Tehan.
After busting Shanks, Seiver then dropped another pot of 155,000 when his 10 10 was up against the all-in A K of Jacobo Fernandez. In his last stand, Seiver then pushed his final 40,000 into the center with A 9 -- ironically the same hand that busted Shanks -- and Seiver fell to Russell Harriman who held A 10 . The flop of 10 8 6 gave Seiver gut-shot straight possibilities, but the 5 turnand 4 river ended his event in stunning fashion
Yeh Crowned by King
Philip Yeh, second in chips to begin the day, was eliminated in 13th place. The initial damage came in a match-up with Robert Lipkin. After a flop of J 8 6 , Lipkin bet 24,000 when the 5 came on the turn. Yeh made the call, and the 10 came as the river. Yeh checked, Lipkin bet 20,000 and Yeh debated what to do with his remaining 48,000. In the end he folded and Lipkin showed the A 5 for bottom pair.
Yeh was then eliminated when he pushed with 7 7 and ran into the A A of Zach King.
Two More Fall
Brandon Schaefer and Douglas Carli were the final two victims before 10-handed play was to begin. Carli persevered despite beginning the day with less than 10,000. Carli and Joe Tehan were two of the eight sub-10,000 shortstacks to begin the day, with Tehan now sitting comfortably among the final 10.

Eliminations:
Big Hands:
Fair Tags Another
Ryan "toetagu" Fair opened level 9 in style by scooping a 26,000 pot and vaulting among the leaders. Facing a 3,500 raise from seat 7, Fair called and saw a flop of J 8 2 . The bettor led out again for 3,500, drawing another Fair call, and the 6 on the turn yielded a 6,000 bet, and another Fair call. After the 4 on the river, and play checked to him, Fair bet 11,000 and produced a fold. Fair now has 61,000 in chips to sit among the leaders.
Miller, Alston Butt Heads Twice
A late position raise to 2,800 was followed by Brian Miller committing 10,000 of his 14,100 in chips with a raise. Greg Alston in the small blind then fisted in a stack of yellow 1,000 chips to put both players all in. The original bettor folded while Miller called and showed J J . Alston revealed ace-king off-suit. The flop came 9 7 5 , followed by the 10 on the turn and 10 on the river. Miller remained alive.
The following hand, Miler raised to 2,800 and Alston again called along with the big blind. The flop came 6 5 2 , and Alston fired out for 7,000. Both Miller and the big blind folded.
Chip And A Chair No More
The small blind committed 3,200 of his remaining chips to the 4,000 pot after a flop of 9 6 5 . Eric Shanks called and believed his opponent was all-in, but was warned not to reveal his cards because his opponent actually had a single 500-chip remaining. The opponent then checked the turn when the Q was presented, which led Shanks to make it official and put the player all in. The opponent had A 9 while Shanks had A A to win the pot.
Storylines:
-- Joe Tehan continues his climb back from the brink, now with 20,000 in chips after hitting a two-outter to remain alive in the last level.
-- Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri remains among the leaders with 69,600 in chips. Was it a certain hand that did it for him? "Not really," said Barbieri. "I should actually have more, to be honest."
