His opponent made the call with QQ, leaving Luske way out in front with KK. The 8 on the turn and 5 on the river failed to bring a queen, and Luske now has over 30,000 in chips.
No-Limit Hold’em: Gavin Smith Takes a Hit
After the player on the button limped, Gavin Smith checked his option from the big blind. The 852 flop caused Smith to be 800, which was called by his opponent. Gavin fired another 1,500 on the 2 turn which was again called. The A on the river was checked by Smith, and his opponent pushed a bet of 6,000 across the line. Gavin Smith instantly folded. Despite the hit, Smith remains one of the early tournament chip leaders.
