Poker star Mike Matusow will see his 2012 autobiography “Check-Raising the Devil” made into a motion picture, Variety reported Monday.

Matusow’s book details his struggles on and off the felt, which include drug addiction, going to prison and depression. Matusow is a four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.

Matusow has more than $8.5 million in career tournament earnings.

Last summer, Matusow chatted with Card Player about his mental recovery from the Full Tilt Poker scandal. Matusow was once a sponsored pro for the company.

Matusow’s movie will be made by a production company with the 1984 Professional Defense Contractors. IMDB lists 10 films in its catalog.
