Despite previously stating that it didn’t have any plans to get into real money gambling, Facebook is launching its first real money app on Tuesday for users in the United Kingdom.

The Bingo Friendzy app is a joint venture with UK online gambling operator, Gamesys, to target Facebook’s large online audience, according to the Financial Times.

Card Player previously reported that Facebook was in talks with several online gambling operators regarding real-money gambling in the UK and had pin-pointed eight potential partners including 888, Gamesys, and PokerStars.

Slot machine games are next, and it is hard not to speculate as to when moves will be made towards adding online poker to the list.

Zynga has stated its hopes for introducing real money poker, bingo, and slot machine games in 2013.

Forbes reported in April that Zynga was in partnership talks with Las Vegas-based Wynn Resorts.
