A rapper was arrested Sunday at a Las Vegas Strip casino after an altercation with casino staff turned physical.

Willie Maxwell II, who is known more commonly by his stage name Fetty Wap, was arrested at the Mirage after allegedly punching a casino employee three times.

TMZ was the first to report the incident, reporting that Maxwell’s altercation was with a valet attendant, but local Las Vegas outlets are reporting that a source close to the incident says that the incident happened at the front of the casino, away from the valet area.

Despite the discrepancy in location, there are no conflicting reports about the fact that Maxwell landed three punches on a casino employee.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police department arrived on the scene and arrested Maxwell at approximately 8:30 a.m. on battery charges. He was later released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear in court in October, where he will face three misdemeanor counts of battery. The rapper received one count for each punch landed.

There are no official statements about the incident from either MGM or Maxwell.

Earlier this year, rapper Meek Mill nearly had an encounter with Las Vegas law enforcement after being denied entry into The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas last May.
