I'm hoping Jon can do another interview w/ some great female poker players without starting out the interview by hitting on them or talking about being single. Would love to hear more about their experiences at the table rather than an interview that sounds more like a speed date.

well, I agree,although Im not that interested in that in specific, but I felt like this weeks show didnt have as much Value as the other ones and was alot shorter. I liked most previous shows tho,especially the healthy living one. If possible Id like to see one regarding investing, especially because afaik Jon himself was CEO of a company.

Wow! I take the time to point out the math upon which the poker profession is built, and I'm a HATER. I prefer to think of myself as a TRUTHER.
Jon's videos are still here. Watch the first show. He gives two reasons for doing UTG: The second is to inspire people to pursue their dreams. He says he is an “expert poker player.†He says he has mentors “in both tournaments and cash games†and is “playing the best poker [of his] life.â€
His 50k in 6 month challenge was to “prove to the world†that “small stakes†no-limit, “primarily 1/2†was beatable at a rate of 2k a week. He wasn't humble. After 5 weeks of actually playing, he hasn't managed a single 2k winning week.
If the 100k challenge has primarily become a learning experience, learn this:
Profit = Hands/100 x Win-rate in big bets/100 x big bet.
If anyone wants to pay the mortgage while feet up in a recliner playing internet poker, you must make a budget built upon win-rate, hands played, and stakes played. I commented many weeks ago that winning 2k a week on UB's 1/2 tables was nearly impossible playing only 6 tables, and now I'm a HATER. Sorry, Jon. No hate. Just a pro who understands how to pay the mortgage from a recliner.
Running weekly totals are: -2700 + 1500 - 1500 + 1100 + 0 - 500 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = -2100
Ten weeks are gone. Jon must now win $102.1k in 42 weeks – $2,430 a week. It won't happen. If he moves up to 2/4, he's going to lose even faster because those players are better than the 1/2 folks.
Focus on winning 2k in a week and share with us what you've learned, like what guides your decision to fold AA on the flop. Win 8k in a month and share again, like what lets you know to toss bottom set. Win 25k in a quarter and you can probably win 50k in 6 months if you chose to grind it out.
Signed,
HATER aka TRUTHER

Well, I dont think its impossible itself, but I do think its impossible for Jon or a guy like me.If we count with 3BB/100 which is pretty darn good given rake and Opponents, you still have to play like 33k Hands/Week(3BB/100Hands-->6$*~330->2k) which, quite frankly, is alot.Prolly ~5-6hrs a day of constant 6tabling to get there.Again, not impossible but most People cant put in that much time//focus and Jon also said hes pretty new to cash, so I dont think hell have 3BB/100 right on and has to learn the 3/4/5bet games and how to exploit em postflop since 200NL is pretty filled with regs.

I have to say, I love this show and I tune in every week. The last 2 shows have been kind of uninteresting. I think you should move away from chicks and porn stars, and focus on poker and strategy. There's a ton of shows about poker "lifestyle", yours has a chance to be different and actually have some good content. Good luck, and great show!

You guys are all effing haters. How can you complain about the guests on this show? He has had not one, but two guests EVERY WEEK. These are not lame guests either. All the guests have been very unique, interesting, and successful people. This show has never been strictly about poker strategy, it is about everything that comes with become a successful/up and coming player in this unique industry, and that is what makes it a great show. Jon also does an awesome job holding the discussions every and is an extremely successful business man and player himself. Very rare on some of these tv shows to have that. Also, IMO aren't that many shows about lifestyle and I think Jon mixes the shows up perfectly between lifestyle and poker. On a side note I too would be interested to hear about Jon's previous job and what drove him to make the big transition.
