Michael Mizrachi’s 2025 World Series of Poker run was instantly iconic. Fresh off of a record-extending fourth victory in the WSOP $50,000 Poker Players Championship, he topped the third-largest field in WSOP main event history to earn his eighth bracelet and $10,000,000.
The incredible one-two punch was enough to earn ‘The Grinder’ an impromptu induction into the Poker Hall of Fame.
Mizrachi, now 45, backed up his dominant 2025 with another win this summer. He recently took down the 2026 WSOP $10,000 pot-limit Omaha championship for his ninth bracelet and $1.3 million. He now has more than $30.6 million in career cashes to his name, including two World Poker Tour main event titles, as well.
Before Mizrachi won bracelet no. 9 or took a seat in this year’s main event with the goal of defending his title, the longtime poker pro plonked down in another kind of chair; one at Speakeasy Barbershop inside the El Cortez Hotel and Casino.
There, Mizrachi got a fresh trim while speaking to Card Player’s Jesse Fullen for the first-ever edition of Deep Cuts, an interview podcast set to feature some of the biggest names in poker chatting it up from a barber’s chair.
Mizrachi Tells All In Wide-Ranging Barbershop Chat
Mizrachi discussed everything from playing poker underage on cruise ships to doing 170 miles per hour with Ben Lamb in a Lamborghini. The wide-ranging conversation also covered Mizrachi partying until 9 AM one night during his run to the main event bracelet.
He also talked about not winning the 2025 WSOP Player of the Year award despite his legendary wins in two of the biggest events of the summer.
“I didn’t mind not winning player of the year. I’ll take the main event and the PPC every year. You guys have the POY… I’ll take the money,” said Mizrachi.
