Final table, heads-up, with the blinds at 100,000 and 200,000 and a 30,000 ante, Seiver raised to 400,000 from the button, Sands reraised to 900,000, Seiver went all-in, Sands called.

Sands started the final table with 45% of the chips in play, and looked to be the favorite to take down the event as the eliminations proceeded. Seiver started the final table in 6th, but had tripled up when his Aces held in a multiway pot to move into contention. When both players woke up with promising pocket pairs at these blind levels, the raises quickly became an all-in confrontation with Seiver outpipped and facing elimination. Seiver flopped top set to dramatically take the lead in the hand, leaving Sands in need of running straight cards or a redraw to his higher set. Neither came and Sands was left with just 11 big blinds after the hand, eliminated soon after as runner up for $1,259,320, his largest cash to date. Seiver scored the title and $2,003,480, also his largest cash to date.
