It didn't take long for David Williams to go from being a relative unknown to poker superstar. After forsaking his beloved game of Magic: the Gathering, his attention was been focused on tournament poker.
Williams was put on the map after his second-place finish in the 2004 World Series of Poker main event against Greg Raymer. It seemed as though he was in a second-place rut, as he followed that with another second against Daniel Negreanu in the 2005 Borgata Poker Open. Then he broke the "curse" with a bracelet at the 2006 WSOP in a seven-card stud event. Williams is sponsored by Bodog.
