Putting Nikhil “Nik Airball” Arcot and Rick Salomon on the same high-stakes cash game table is a recipe for huge pots and wild swings.

On the latest episode of PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker, all the ingredients came together for the two of them to get nearly a million dollars in the middle before the flop.

The stakes were $500-$1,000 with a $1,000 big blind ante and a $2,000 under-the-gun straddle. Monkey Tilt sportsbook owner Sam Kiki raised to $15,000 with 9Spade Suit8Spade Suit from the hijack and Arcot three-bet to $45,000 from the cutoff with 10Heart Suit10Diamond Suit. Then, Rick Salomon put in a massive four-bet to $245,000 from the small blind with AHeart SuitKClub Suit.

Kiki folded and Arcot considered his options for some time before putting it all in for $445,000. Salomon snap-called, creating a $908,000 pot. The two would run it twice, with Arcot a 57% favorite to win the hand, according to the Card Player Poker Odds calculator.

A 10 in the window was not what Salomon had in mind as the first flop was JClub Suit10Spade Suit7Spade Suit, giving Arcot a set while Salomon was drawing to just four queens to make Broadway.

“You flop a set and I’m still alive,” said Salomon with a laugh.

“It’s almost a little bit more scary,” Arcot responded.

He wouldn’t find them on the 4Heart Suit turn or the 7Diamond Suit river, and Arcot took down the first $454,000 with a full house.

Unbelievably, the case 10 would show up on the second 10Club Suit3Spade Suit2Spade Suit runout, leaving Salomon drawing to running cards. Arcot would boat up on the 2Heart Suit turn and scoop the entire $908,000 pot.
