When Rick Salomon is in a poker game, there’s usually no shortage of action.
He lived up to his reputation in a recent episode of PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker when he played a seven-figure pot with A3
.
Action starts with blinds of $500-$1,000 and a $2,000 straddle. Alan Keating raised to $4,000 with Q5
and Salomon three-bet to $20,000 on the button.
Peter Wang, who lost the largest pot in high-stakes poker history to Keating earlier in the season, cold-called from the big blind with QQ
.
Sam Kiki was in the straddle and four-bet to $140,000 with AK
. Keating quickly folded and Salomon, just as quickly, went all in for his $555,000.
Wang thought for about 30 seconds before throwing his pocket pair away and Kiki snap-called for just shy of $500,000.
“I got a bad hand,” said Salomon as the cards were being turned face-up.
According to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator, Kiki was a nearly 68% favorite to take down a seven-figure pot.
Kiki and Salomon ran the board twice. You can see the results in the video below:
