Cherish Andrews secured the largest payout of her poker tournament career this week, taking down the 2025 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown $25,000 no-limit hold’em high roller for $408,265.
The score increased Andrews’ lifetime earnings to nearly $3.7 million. The World Series of Poker bracelet winner’s largest previous cash came when she finished runner-up in a $10,000 event at the World Poker Tour Championship series in 2022 for $259,200.
This victory catapulted Andrews into ninth place on the women’s all-time money list. She moved ahead of Maria Lampropulos (10th – $3,635,302) on the leaderboard.
In addition to the title and the money, Andrews was also awarded 588 Card Player Player of the Year points for the win in this high-stakes event. This was her first title and fourth final table of the year. With 1,320 total points, she is tied with Umut Ozturk for 78th place in the 2025 POY standings presented by Global Poker.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood high-stakes event attracted 70 total entries to South Florida for the high-stakes event. As a result, the event surpassed the $1 million guarantee on the prize pool by $729,000.
The top nine finishers made the money, with reigning PokerGO Cup champion Joey Weissman eliminated on the bubble at the end of day 1. Four-time bracelet winner Michael Gathy (9th – $60,600) and WPT champion Matthew Wantman (8th – $69,200) were the first to fall on day 2 of this event.
Scott Margereson eliminated Brian Battistone in seventh place ($77,800), only to run A-4 into the A-J of Frank Brannan to finish sixth ($91,000).
A classic preflop race resulted in the final elimination hand of the day, with Kevin Rabichow’s KQ
unable to overcome the pocket jacks of high-stakes regular Brock Wilson, who is Andrew’s significant other. The couple and the two other remaining contenders, Brannan and Clemen Deng, hashed out a deal that redistributed the remaining prize money and ended the tournament.
Andrews held the chip lead at the time with 135 big blinds and was accordingly awarded the biggest payout ($408,265) and the title. Brannan, who had 96 big blinds at the time, earned $342,935 as the runner-up, while Wilson’s 77 big blinds secured him $313,410.

Deng, who was just one month removed from securing his largest score ever by finishing eighth in the Triton Jeju $100,000 main event for $695,000, placed fourth in this tournament. His 44 big blind stack was ultimately valued at $248,990. Deng also earned 294 POY points. This was his fifth final table of the year. With 2,016 total points, he is now ranked 23rd on the POY leaderboard.
