The Charity Series of Poker will be heading east next month for the Larry Frank Memorial Charity Event in Hollywood, Florida.

The April 3 event features a night of charity poker benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. The tournament will be hosted at Seminole Hard Rock as past of their Showdown series of poker tournaments.

There will be a reception that kicks off the evening at 5:30 pm in the Grand Ballroom, and that is also when the cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and silent auction will begin. Anyone is welcome to attend the cocktail hour and silent auction for $100 without participating in the tournament. Attire for the evening is business casual.

After that comes the main event of the night, the charity poker tournament. The turbo-structured poker tournament begins at 7:00 PM, and features $5,000 in cash along with a $3,500 World Poker Tour Seminole Poker Showdown championship seat. There will be approximately $15,000 in total cash prizes including a $1,000 bonus for the chip leader at break.

The $300 buy-in tournament has unlimited re-buys until registration closes. There will be plenty of other final table and silent auction prizes up for grabs as well. Both WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage, and Florida poker professional Michael Mizrachi are expected as attendees for the charity poker tournament.

Established in 2014, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company founded to organize and promote charity poker tournaments and other events that raise money and awareness for worthy charities and causes. Poker professional Matt Stout is the founder and president of the CSOP. This upcoming event will be the 81st stop for the series as it continues a strong lineup of events spanning many years.

Regarding this upcoming event, the CSOP website offered the following additional info:

“Come join us on April 3 to support Make-A-Wish Foundation! Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness. Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 14,000 life-changing wishes since 1983 for
children who have critical illnesses. It aims to grant a wish for every medically-eligible child in its territory and understands wishes aren’t just nice, they’re necessary for kids and families at some of the most difficult times in their lives.”
