It’s an exciting time for the Venetian Poker Room. After opening the newest poker room on the Las Vegas Strip last August, this week the venue debuted Venetian Poker Live inside its state-of-the-art Poker Studio. The room will be dedicated to filming vlogging sessions, big cash games, and tournament final tables, with live broadcasts produced and distributed by PokerGO.
The premiere broadcasts feature a pair of $1 million guaranteed $1,600 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament final tables. The first of the two live streams took place on Monday, Feb. 10. The 2025 Mid-States Poker Tour Venetian Poker Bowl attracted 892 entries, resulting in a $1,271,100 prize pool. Anthony Scarborough came out on top, earning $152,243 for the win.
Next up is the $1,000,000 guaranteed Card Player Poker Tour Venetian $1,600 no-limit hold’em main event, which runs from from Feb. 12-16. The tournament features three starting flights, each beginning at 11:10 AM local time on Feb. 12-14. Those who made it through those flights will return at 11:00 on Feb. 15 for day 2 action. The live streamed final table is set for Feb. 16 at noon, with the stream on a one-hour delay.
This will be the second time that a CPPT event has been held inside the new Venetian Poker Room, with the first taking place back in September of 2024. That event saw Baurzhan Akimov beat out a field of 343 entries in a $1,100 buy-in tournament to earn $63,943.
Both of the million-dollar guaranteed events featured on the broadcasts are part of the the 2025 Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza I festival, which spans from Feb. 3-23, with 35 tournaments on offer featuring more than $3.2 million in guaranteed prize money.
There is something for everyone on the schedule, with buy-ins ranging from $200 up to $1,600 and plenty of formats to choose from, including bounty events, a seniors event, a ladies tag team event, and a Big O bounty event.
The Newest and Biggest Poker Room in Las Vegas
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas opened its new poker room in August, unveiling a fresh space on the second floor of the Grand Canal Shoppes at Palazzo.
Boasting 14,000 sq. ft. with room for 51 tables, the poker room is the largest on the Las Vegas Strip, and the new location now offers much more convenient access to numerous dining options and the parking garage.
The new room offers players complimentary self-serve coffee and soda, USB and USB-C charging ports at every seat, tableside restaurant ordering, and free parking for anyone who plays more than three hours. The venue has numerous TVs, a sports betting kiosk, a dedicated restroom, and the brand new streaming studio.
Players are reporting that they are happy with the quieter atmosphere, no longer having to deal with loud slot machines ringing nearby. Others have mentioned the air quality, as smoking is prohibited in the Grand Canal Shoppes.
