While the tournament action in Las Vegas rages on, fans of livestreamed cash were treated to a high-stakes game in Los Angeles Saturday night featuring a number of stars from the sports world.

Among them was the Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, making his first public poker appearance. The six-time NBA All-Star took his seat at the start of the eight-hour Hustler Casino Live stream, but decided to sit out for more than an hour before seeing a hand, waiting on the arrival of Brazilian soccer legend Neymar Jr.

Neymar, who as one of the highest paid athletes in the world also has a deal with PokerStars, almost immediately got involved in several big pots, but not with Butler.

Butler had cracked boxer Ryan Garcia’s aces with trip nines to double up, and kept slowly adding to his stack when his eventual confrontation with Neymar finally went down.

The action started with a limp for $200 from boxer Chris Eubank, followed by Neymar. High-stakes regular Alan Keating then raised it to $2,000 on the button, but was called by Pedro Velasco in the small blind, Butler in the big blind, Dan Bilzerian in the straddle, and both Eubank and Neymar.

The flop came down 5Diamond Suit 4Heart Suit 4Club Suit and Butler bet $3,000. It folded to Neymar in the cutoff, who was the only caller. The turn was the 9Diamond Suit, and Butler bet $5,000.

Neymar responded with a min-raise to $10,000, and Butler quickly reraised to $30,000.

“Come get you some,” Butler said.

Neymar obliged and moved all-in, and Butler made the quick call for the rest of his stack, bringing the pot to $174,000.

Neymar felt good about his trips with KDiamond Suit 4Diamond Suit, but Butler had him drawing slim with pocket fives for a flopped full house. Butler insisted on running it only once, and the river was the ASpade Suit to give him a full double up.

Butler would ride that momentum to a big win of $122,850, despite having the lowest VPIP of the night with 41 percent and a preflop raise rate of just 2 percent.

Keating, who played a whopping 90 percent of his hands, was the biggest loser of the session, dropping $478,850. Most of that went to Neymar, who finished up $306,000 on the night. Those two played a wild hand where Keating ended up losing more than what was originally in the pot.

It began with a raise to $1,000 by Eubank in early position, who was called by YouTube streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Neymar, before Keating three-bet to $5,000. Everyone called, and the flop came down QDiamond Suit 9Diamond Suit 2Club Suit.

It checked to Keating on the button, who bet $10,000. Blevins and Neymar called, bringing the 6Spade Suit on the turn.

Once again, it checked to Keating, who decided to move all in.

“I’ve had enough,” said Keating, who was overbetting the pot.

Blevins folded his KDiamond Suit 10Club Suit for a gutshot straight draw, but Neymar quickly called for his entire stack of $74,400, bringing the pot to $198,950.

Keating held ADiamond Suit 4Diamond Suit for the nut flush draw, and Neymar showed 9Club Suit 5Heart Suit for second pair.

“Oh my god,” said someone at the table, reacting to Neymar’s bluff catcher.

The two agreed to run it twice, with Keating winning the first half of the pot with the 3Diamond Suit, and Neymar taking the other half with the 5Club Suit.

But Keating wasn’t satisfied with a split pot. In fact, he wanted to run the river again, this time for $50,000.

Watch the hand below.

The QHeart Suit was no help to Keating, so they ran it again for another $50,000. The JHeart Suit hit, with Neymar exploding in celebration. Keating wanted another $50,000. It bought him the JClub Suit.

They then stepped it up to $75,000, which resulted in the 2Heart Suit.

“My stack has been eviscerated by my own hubris,” said Keating.

They put another $60,000 in the middle, and the 8Spade Suit kept things in Neymar’s favor. Finally, they put in Keating’s last $75,000, and he peeled the 10Spade Suit to see him felted.

Neymar had started the hand with only about $89,000, but somehow got all of Keating’s $362,000.

Keating probably shook off the loss easily, considering he won a $2.2 million pot on the stream last month.
