On Thursday morning, less than 6,000 hands remained in the “Brains vs. AI” match pitting four of the world’s top heads-up no-limit hold’em players against Carnegie Mellon University’s poker bot “Claudico”, and the humans were up a whopping 737,244.

Thursday was the last day of the match. You can watch a live stream here.

That’s not a dollar value, but the pros stand to make $100,000 each when the match concludes. Microsoft is a sponsor and the match is being held at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.

Doug Polk, Dong Kim, Bjorn Li and Jason Les have really been dominating the machine consistently over the two-week long stretch. Only Les is in the red to Claudico.

The match is being advertised as the first time that a computer program has played heads-up no-limit hold’em in competition with top human players. It has been getting a lot of mainstream attention, despite it not being close at all. No-limit hold’em is very complex game.
