Triton Titans: Jason Koon Tops Tour’s Cashes Leaderboard

Triton Poker’s official internal rankings list three main categories for tracking performance in their nosebleed-stakes events: payouts, titles, and cashes. While earnings and trophies understandably dominate the headlines, there’s a reason that the count of a player’s in-the-money finishes makes the cut as one of the big three stats. Tracking cashes highlights sustained performance over the long haul, demonstrating which contenders continually put themselves in a position to win.

The latest Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju stop is kicking off inside Les A Casino on Friday, Sept. 4. Before that festival, which runs through Sept. 17 and features 14 events, here is a look at where things stand in the tour’s cashes rankings.

As expected, there is a lot of overlap between the tour’s all-time money list and this leaderboard, but there are plenty of key differences, as well. The headlining example is that Bryn Kenney, the tour’s highest earner with over $51.2 million in Triton scores, is not among the top ten in cashes. Kenney has five wins across 26 cashes, which includes his record-setting $20.6 million payout as the runner-up in the highest-buy-in tournament ever held, the £1,050,000 Triton Millions charity invitational.

Koon And Chidwick Lead The Way

While Kenney is not to be found above, the tour’s all-time titles leader and second-highest earner, Jason Koon, is the top-ranked player when sorting by cashes. The 41-year-old Poker Hall of Famer has made the money 81 times in Triton tournaments, accumulating $40.9 million along the way. The American poker pro has converted a cash into a win at the highest rate of any of the ten players listed above, with 14.8 percent of his in-the-money showings ending with a winner’s photo. Koon’s most recent victory saw him emerge victorious in the $30,000 pot-limit Omaha turbo bounty event at the 2025 Montenegro stop to secure his record-extending 12th trident trophy.

The four largest scores on Koon’s incredible résumé all came in Triton wins, including a $3.6 million triumph in a 2018 $127,000 short deck event and a $3.4 million victory in a $150,000 no-limit hold’em affair at the Montenegro stop in 2025.

Stephen Chidwick has only four fewer cashes than Koon, with 77 recorded paydays across the years. His $34.3 million in Triton earnings is the third-highest total, as well. While he is close to Koon in those two metrics, he has fared much worse when it comes to closing out titles, so far. Chidwick has three trident trophies in his collection, including winning the $200,000 invitational at last fall’s Jeju stop for $3.4 million. Chidwick has walked away with the title just 3.9 percent of the time that he’s made the money on this tour, the third-lowest rate of any of the players in the top ten.

Dvoress, Haxton, And Tang Round Out The Top Five

Daniel Dvoress and Isaac Haxton are tied for the third-most Triton cashes with 76 each. Dvoress is a six-time champion, which puts him in a three-way tie for third on that leaderboard alongside Punnat Punsri and Danny Tang (both of whom grace the top ten in this category).

Dvoress has added four of his six titles so far this year, including three wins at the Montenegro stop alone. Haxton’s lone victory on the tour came in 2025, when he took down a $100,000 pot-limit Omaha event for nearly $2.8 million in Jeju.

Tang won five of his six titles during an unbelievable 2023 campaign. His latest came in the $100,000 main event in Montenegro earlier this year. He earned $3.5 million of his $31.2 million overall haul on this tour with that one triumph. Tang rounds out the short list of players with 70 or more cashes in Triton events.
