I'm on to the final day of the $1500 HORSE tournament with 323,500. The average is around 150,000 as 23 of the 770 entrants remain. I believe I'm 2nd in chips behind Fabrice Soulier. For those unfamiliar, HORSE is an acronym for Hold 'Em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, 7 Card Stud, and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. We switch which game we're playing every 8 hands. I'm prepared for what will hopefully be a long day tomorrow culminating with me winning my first career bracelet and the $250,000 for first. I'm comfortable playing all 5 games, and I'll be ready. Notables remaining: Fabrice Soulier, Tad Jurgens, Joe "Floes" Serock, Vanessa Rousso, James Van Alstyne, Bryan Micon, John Racener, and bracelet winners Chris Bjorin (2), Paul Darden, and Farzad Rouhani. In others news, I busted the $10k heads up NLHE to a very good Wisconsinite named Lance "ptowner" Treankler in the first round. I got out to a 2:1 lead pretty quickly, but then I made some badly timed bluffs and ended up getting the last of it in with K4 vs 55 on 8438. He somehow managed not to go broke to me early on with QdQs vs my AcAs when I raised to 600, got reraised to 1900 and then 4bet tiny to 3800 because I thought he was weak. He called, checkcalled KhTh8d then checkfolded the 5h when I moved in for 1.3x pot. I also busted the $2500 PLO. This cash, however, brings me to a not-as-bad-as-1/19-sounding 2/19 on the series. Play resumes at 1 p.m. Vegas time and the best updates can be found at pokernews.com. SS
