Now what?!?

I feel like I deserve better than a forty fifth place finish at the 2008 WSOP main event. In six days I never faltered, I played one coin flip for over 50% of my chips, and I didn't have any double up hands (my A-A vs. their K-K or Q-Q) for the last three days. I cannot say this about any other tournament that I have played in my life. The amateurs killed me when they called big pre-flop raises with Q-10 both times in heads up pots: once, I turned a set (J-9-6-8-2) and check called fourth street; the other time I made aces up with A-2 (J-9-2-8-A). I finally played a coin flip when I moved all-in for $405,000 (blinds were 20k-40k) with A-Q under the gun seven handed, and was called by J-J. It was my last hand.

I recognize that I'm blessed from head-to-toe in life. So I'm just saying that I deserved better based on the way I was playing, not based on anything else. Lord knows, or the universe knows, that I have everything in life: including 11 WSOP wins! The WSOP 2008 is over, and now I have a long time to wait until I can do something great in poker. Maybe I can win a million online between now and then, but it is just cash. The next history making event is the WPT (World Poker Tour) event at the Bicycle Club on August 23rd or so.

On July 16 I managed to celebrate my birthday, and my son's birthday (July 11 - poker players son for sure "711") with a nice sushi dinner at my family's favorite restaurant: "Fuki Sushi." Then we hit the movie "Get Smart," which we all liked, but didn't love. It was funny, and better than we all thought that it would be. My "Poker Brat" clothing line is on the verge of being sold into MGM Mirage, and Harrah's. The new shirts are awesome!!! Hopefully we will have pictures of them up at Club Hellmuth, click on store
