Aid for Haiti

Full Tilt has a bunch of ""aid for Haiti" tournaments going now thru at least Sunday. These are the best way I know of to make a small contribution to relief efforts over there, as Full Tilt will be matching all funds raised and you get to help poker show it’s good side, while playing in a fun little tournament. Look, even if you are on a short bankroll it is not a bad investment as there will be a lot of dead money from players that want to help but don’t really take the tournaments seriously. Also they are making sure the charities are the best ones.
I am mentioning Full Tilts because that is where I play, but I am sure the other big sites will be doing events as well.
I will be playing in most of them so see you there.

I wanted to say something about overpopulation and the Catholic church’s stance on birth control in impoverished countries like Haiti, but I want to have one blog without any controversy, so I won’t.

Meh, the US has spent so much money in aid to Haiti for years and years, and nothing has really changed. The country is a waste, and frankly the earthquake may have been more of a godsend than anything.

Rng i wish people like you, and Pat Robertson, and all of your families were in Haiti in the time of the quake. I wish that your families all perished, and that you are still stuck under the rubble dying slowly. Sounds like a godsend? GO f--k off you prick, or do this world a favor, and kill yourself maybe.

Wow. What kind of person can look in the face of thousands being crushed to death and now thousands more starving to death and say,"You know, this tournament is a splendid opportunity to pick up some dead money." Amazing.

Um DARE2, you are a dumb ass, he never says anywhere its a good place to pick up dead money. oh by the way, most people will donate their 10$ and be all proud. Do people contribute to make them selfs feel better? or really care about Haiti? I bet in a month the media will be done, everone will want to move on and we will forget about it like hurrican Katrina victoms.

rngri4- 200k people dead is a godsend?
A "godsend" would be if someone beat you to death w/ their bare hands before you get the chance to procreate.

With all the money Full-Tilt makes why don't they donate on behalf of poker players and leave it at that ?

UM...? LiveAction

I believe he says it right here:

"Look, even if you are on a short bankroll it is not a bad investment as there will be a lot of dead money from players that want to help but don’t really take the tournaments seriously."

Lee, are you kidding me?...you get more ignorant by the day....I am shocked you didnt blame George W. Bush. Maybe you are bitter b/c your wife looks like your mother, you best friend is a chimp and your best poker days are now writing pointless polictical bassed blogs.

You inconsiderate punk...thousands are dead and you are blaming a church b/c they were not passing out pills and condoms?

By the way your jewelry looks like a confused 14 year old gothic teenager designed it.

I think it is time for Aristide to return. The Catholic Church will always be there, yet it is not all the same. From Opus Dei(The Pope) to Liberation Theology(Aristide), there is a broad spectrum. Only part of the church is still living in the dark ages, unfortunately it is the top part. Their are good people within the church working in the trenches. Priests like Aristide have fought tirelessly to pull the country out of such abject poverty.

Now with all this attention on Haiti, why did our marines kidnap him in 2004? Oh look, they're back!
