Red Cross Contribution Exceeds $25,000
Thank you to The Bicycle Casino and Men "The Master" Nguyen, who teamed up to host an American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund charity tournament recently. Their efforts raised an additional $5,000 for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund that has been coordinated through Card Player.
Besides being a great poker player, Men "The Master" constantly praises the United States. He loves being a citizen, and credits the United States for the opportunity it has given him to succeed.
When Men heard that Card Player was soliciting contributions from the poker community for the Red Cross, he immediately took it upon himself to ask his friends in the poker community if they would support him in a special tournament.
He then went to the management of The Bicycle Casino, who were delighted to host the tournament for him. They agreed to contribute half of the tournament's entry fees to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, and even added an additional $1,000 to the total. Each player contributed $100, and in order to make the total exactly $5,000, Men contributed $320 more.
The result was that everyone had a great evening, and thanks to The Bicycle Casino and all of the participants, an incremental $5,000 was raised for the fund.
