In dramatic fashion, headsup play ended as exciting as it started.  With the players virtually even in chips, Westra having a slight chip lead.  All the money got in on the flop of A 7 2.  Westra was absolutely devastated to see his opponent have top set with pocket Aces, as he thought he had the tournament won with pocket Deuces.  Westra was drawing to one out, and would only have about $15,000 left if he lost.  The turn was a 10, and we were down to our final card.  The dealer burned and turned the river Deuce and Johnathan Westra catches a one-outer for quads to take down Event #1 here at the Bellagio Cup III.  Adam Geyer, still stunned by the outcome, finishes in 2nd place earning $40,805. 

Johnathan Westra walks away with the bracelet, the $25,000 seat into the WPT event and $94,125. 

The level has ended and blinds are going up to $3,000/$6,000 with a $1,000 ante.  The $500 chips are now being raced off. 

Players are on a quick break before heads-up play begins.  The winner of this event will take home a gold bracelet, the cash and a $25,000 entry into the WPT event. 

Kevin O'Sullivan moves all-in from the button and gets called by both Johnathan Westra and Adam Geyer.  The flop comes Q97, and Geyer bets $50,000.  Westra folds and Geyer shows AQ.  O'Sullivan's A6 is in trouble.  The turn gives him hope in the 6, but the river is the 8 and O'Sullivan is eliminated.  

Kevin O'Sullivan raises to $15,000 on the button.  Johnathan Westra calls from the small blind and Adam Geyer reraises to $40,000 from the big bind.  O'Sullivan thinks for 5 minutes before Geyer calls the clock on him.  He calls and Westra folds.  Before the flop is dealt, Geyer announces all-in.  The flop comes Q102, and O'Sullivan folds leaving only $35,000 behind.  Geyer increases his stack by $60,000.  

Adam Geyer is all-in preflop with A6 against Johnathan Westra's AK.  The board comes AQ9106 and Geyer rivers a Six to double up to $101,500.  Westra is knocked down to $238,000.  

Johnathan Westra raises to $14,000 from the cutoff and Vince Bronzino calls from the big blind.  The flop comes K42 and Westra bets $18,000.  Bronzino minraises and Westra reraises all-in.  Bronzino calls immediately, turning over K8.  Westra had his hand in the cookie jar with J10.  The turn is the 9 and the river is the 2 giving Westra a flush and eliminating Bronzino in the biggest pot of the tournament.  After the hand, Westra has a massive chip lead with $286,000 in chips.

Adam Geyer raises to $12,000 from the cutoff and Gary Maresh calls all-in from the big blind.  Geyer had AK and Maresh shows Q6.  The board comes KJ27J, and Maresh is our 5th place finisher.
