Alex Bolotin Takes 11th ($54,852) Alex Bolotin moved the last of his stack in with A-10 and was called by Michael Graves, who held pocket sevens. The board improved neither player and Bolotin hit the rail in 11th place. With that the remaining ten players gathered on the last table to battle it out until one more player was eliminated.
Final Hand
Ten handed play was relatively short. Within half an hour the final hand came down. Theo Tran raised to $65,000 and Ali Alawahdi pushed all-in. Isaac Haxton flat called and action came back around to Tran, who mucked. The spectators surged forward over the rail to try to glimpse at the hands. Alawahdi held A Q and Haxton held A K. The board came out 6 6 4 9 3, and Alawahdi was eliminated in 10th place ($64,532). With that the final table was set.

Level 17 has just ended and the remaining 11 players are about to begin Level 18 where the blinds will increase to $10,000-$20,000 with a $3,000 ante.
We lost two more players in the last level with Vivek Rajkumar finishing in 14th place ($45,173) and Matthew Lefkowitz in 13th place ($50,012). Lefkowitz moved all-in before the flop and Chad Batista made the call. Lefkowitz turned over A Q while Batista showed 8 8. The board came K 4 2 K K, no help to Matthew Lefkowitz as he is eliminated in 14th place ($45,173).
Facing near elimination, Jordan Morgan moves all-in from the short stack and doubles up. The player in seat no. 3 calls Morgan all-in with A 9, but Morgan turns over A K. The board came K J 4 5 9 and Morgan doubles up.
Isaac Haxton was the next one to double up when he got involved in a huge pot with Chad Batista. Haxton raised to $45,000 before the flop and Batista re-raised to $115,000. Haxton then came back over the top and pushed all-in for another $450,000. Bastista makes the call with Q J but Haxton turns over 7 7 for the lead. The came K J 9 giving Bastista a pair of jacks for the lead and the A on the river made him a huge favorite to win the hand. The 7 hit the river and Haxton spiked his two-outer to stay alive and double up to over $1,000,000. Needless to say, Batista wasn’t too happy about the whole thing and some words were exchanged.
Jordan Morgan would be eliminated soon after doubling up when he ran into Shawn Hattem’s A-K. Morgan moves all-in before the flop with 9 8 and Shawn Hattem calls behind him with A K. The board came K 9 6 5 6, not enough help to for Jordan Morgan as he is eliminated in 12th place ($54,852).

Dinner Break
The remaining 14 players have just gone on dinner break and will return at 10 p.m. to Level 17 with blinds of $8,000-$16,000 with a $2,000 ante.
Isaac Haxton was on a bit of a rollercoaster this round, knocking one opponent out and then a few minutes later doubling another up. Samuel Simon moves all-in pre-flop from the short-stack with $115,000 and Isaac Haxton makes the call. Simon shows KQ while turns Haxton over A 8. The board came 8 4 3 6 9, giving Haxton a pair of eights and eliminating Samuel Simon in 16th place ($35,493).
A few hands later and Haxton would make a $30,000 pre-flop raise from the cutoff. The player in seat no. 8 made the call from the small blind, followed by David Williams out of the big blind. The flop came 5 4 3 and Isaac Haxton bet out $120,000. Seat no. 8 moved all-in for $350,000, David Williams dropped out, and Issac Haxton made the call. Seat no. 8 turned over 4 4 while Haxton showed A K. The turn and river bring the 7 and the 10, no help to Haxton as his opponent doubles through him with a set of fours.
David Williams was the last one to go before the dinner break when he got incolved in a big pot with Theo Tran. Tran raised to $35,000 before the flop and Williams re-raised him another $50,000; Tran flat calls. The flop came Q J 9. Williams quickly moved all-in on the flop and Tran called him down even quicker. Williams showed A A while Tran turned over J J for a set of jacks. The turn and river brought the 2 and the Q, no help for David Williams as he was eliminated in 16th place ($40,333).
Players will be returning from dinner at 10 p.m., so be sure to check back with CardPlayer.com for more updates.
There are only 40 players left in event #52 and at the rate players are busting the final table appears to not be too far in the distance. Chad "lilholdem" Batista is the dominant chip leader in the field and shows no signs of slowing down. Batista's $700,000 chip stack is almost $300,000 ahead of the next largest chip stack.
Batista stayed in the fast lane throughout the entire last level and added yet another elimination to his impressive run for the final table. This time the victim was Raul Lozano. Batista raised preflop and Lozano called. The flop came 10-6-2 rainbow and Batista bet out again. Lozano pushed all in and Batista immediately called. Lozano showed 8-6 for middle pair and Batisata was in the lead with Q-10. The turn was an ace and the river brought a queen and Batista added another victim's chips to his stack.
J.C. Tran was eliminated in 46th place, earning $9,680. Tran was eliminated when his pocket sevens ran into an opponent's pocket jacks and he failed to improve.
A new chip leader has emerged in the last level and his name is Chad "lilholdem" Batista. Batista is now over $450,000 in chips and picked up a large chunk courtesy of Sean McCabe. McCabe raised from middle position and Batista smooth called from the button. The flop came king high and both players checked. The turn was a ten and McCabe bet out. Batista came back over the top all in and McCabe made the call. McCabe showed A-K for top pair and Batista flipped over A-A. The river bricked out for McCabe and he was sent to the rail. Batista picked up the nice pot and is currently the chip leader. Theo Tran and David Williams are still in the top five in chips as well.
Notable eliminations in the last round include Berry Johnston, Lee Watkinson, Scott Bohlman and Justin "Zeejustin" Bonomo.
Amnon Filippi has been able to consistently build his stack throughout the day and has had to do so with both J.C. Tran and Daniel Alaei at his table. Filippi raised to $12,000 from late postion and the action folded to the big blind. The player in the big blind thought for a moment and then pushed all in. Filippi thought for about five seconds and said "call", turning over K Q. The player in the big blind showed 10 5 and knew he was in trouble. The flop came J 9 4, leaving the player in the big blind with only one live card. The turn was the A and the river brought the K. Filippi eliminated his opponent and now has $305,000.
The field has been whittled down to just 48 players.
There are currently 73 players remaining on day two of event #51, $1,000 No Limit Hold 'Em w/rebuys. David Williams is still the current chip leader and Theo Tran has climbed up to the number two spot.
Phil Hellmuth was eliminated in the last round when he was all in after the turn card brought him a straight. The only problem was that the turn card brought his opponent a higher straight and Hellmuth was sent to the rail. Hellmuth leaves with his 63rd World Series of Poker cash, extending the record he already held. 2006 Main Event champion Jamie Gold has been eliminated and Kevin "belowabove" Saul was sent to the rail this level as well.
Lee Watkinson took a small hit shortly before the level break when he called an opponent's all in with 3 3. His opponent had Q J and the board came K J 8 6 4 and it didn't cost Watkinson much to double up his opponent.
Still battling for a bracelet in today's field are Chad "lilholdem" Batista, Michael Binger, Lee Watkinson, Barny Boatman, David Williams, Theo Tran, Daniel Alaei and Justin "zeejustin" Bonomo.
Notable Chip Counts
14 players have been eliminated within the last hour. Harablos Voulgaris and Jon Friedberg busted early on, and Joe Hachem was one of three players elminated on the third hand dealt during hand-for-hand play. Hachem pushed all in with pocket Queens and was called by Sean McCabe with A-10. McCabe spiked an Ace on the flop, and Hachem's day was finished.
There are three significant players scoring cashes in this event. Michael Binger held on for his 8th cash of the World Series, tying the all-time record. One of the holders of that record, Phil Hellmuth, extended his all-time World Series cashes record. Berry Johnston kept the pace with him, still second on the list.
David Williams, Theo Tran, and Jordan Morgan are still cruising at the top of the chip leaderboard.
Day two of event #52, $1,000 No Limit Hold 'Em w/rebuys is set to begin at 2 p.m. There are 110 players returning today and play is scheduled to continue tonight until the final table has been decided. The chip leader heading into day two is Bryan O'Connell and David Williams and Daniel Alaei are in second and third respectively. Internet phenoms Chad "lilholdem" Batista and Steve "MrSmokey1" Billirakis are both in the top ten in chips as well.
