We’re down to the final fifteen players in Event no. 42, and the tournament staff has decided to play down to the final table rather than a winner. This is now a three day event and players will stop for the night as soon as the final table is determined.
European pro, Sigi Stockinger was eliminated in 19th place ($6,236) followed by Mike Sexton in 17th place ($7,174). Mike Sexton raised from the under the gun and Michael Watson pushed him all-in. Sexton called for the last of his chips and turned over A K Q J. Wastosn showed A 10 9 2, and the board came 7 5 4 3 5, giving Watson the high hand with the nut flush and the nut low with A-2 for the scoop, sending Sexton to the rail.
Chad Brown is still doing well in this tournament and should have enough chips to cruise into the final assuming he doesn’t get into any major confrontations with the big stacks at his table. He really didn’t see too much action this round; several small pots followed by some uncontested raises. European pro player, George Danzer is also sitting pretty comfortably with $158,000 in chips as the players slow down a bit in hopes of making the final table.

Only 23 players now remain in Event # 42, and those recently eliminated after the dinner break include Russ Salzer 32nd ($5,345), European pro, Philip Marmorstein 31st ($5,345), and William Chen 28th (5,345).
Chen came in for a pre-flop raise of $12,000 when James Toller made the call. The flop came A 8 5, and Chen bet out $30,000 (pot size). James Tolley moved all-in behind him and Chen called all-in; Tolley had him covered. Tolley turned over 7 4 4 while Chen showed A K 6 3. The turn and the river bring the J and the 6, giving Tolley the straight for the high and the seven-low, scooping the pot and send Chen to the rail in 28th place.
Shortly after Chen’s elimination, the tournament staff had the remaining 27 players redraw for new seat assignments. The redraw put Chad Brown alongside European pros, Sigi Stockinger and George Danzer. Stockinger is currently sitting with $46,000 while Danzer has $164,000 in chips.

The 36 remaining players are now on dinner break until 9 p.m. and tournament officials are racing on off the $500 chips as the players exit the tournament area. Notables still in the field include A.J. Kelsall, Mike Sexton, Chad Brown and Tony G. Table 41 has emerged as the most stacked of the final four tables. William Chen, A.J. Kelsall, Chad Brown and George Danzer are all sharing the felt at this table. Come back to CardPlayer.com following the dinner break to see who makes it to the final table.
After coming back from a short break play started off with a bang and several players busted out in the first few hands. Among them was Jeff Madsen, who after experiencing a brutal beat earlier didn't have many chips to work with.
David "Devilfish" Ulliot was eliminated early in this round by Chau Giang. Ulliot finished in 51st place after going all in with A-A-10-6 up against Giang who was holding A-A-10-9. There was no qualifying low on the board and Giang caught a flush on the turn to eliminate Ulliot.
Not shortly after picking up almost $30,000 from Ulliot, Giang gave it all away to George Danzer. Giang pushed all in with A A 3 2 and a board showing K J 4. Danzer made the call with A J 10 2 and was behind Giang's aces. The turn was the 3 and the river brought the Q giving Danzer broadway. Giang had no low and Danzer took down the enormous pot. Giang finished in 46th place.
There are fewer than 45 players remaining in day two of this Pot Limit Omaha eight-or-better event.
Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliot has been eliminated when both he and his caller got Aces but 'The Fish' couldn't surpass a flush and was gone with around 50 players left in the tournament.
Other recent bust-outs include Alan Smurfit, Marcel Luske and Surindar Sunar.
Sigi Stockinger has around $67,500 in chips, Philip Marmonstein has about $41,000 and Peter Dalhuijsen has just over $20,000.

Bubble Bursts
The announcement came at 72 players that hand for hand play would begin with 64 players remaining. The bubble was uneventful however, as the 65th and 64th finishers busted out simultaneously and hand for hand play never even began. The players are now on a short 15 minute break while tournament officials color off the $100 chips. When the players return level 11 will begin with blinds of $1,000-$2,000.
A.J. Kelsall has been doing his best with a short stack and as the bubble approached he picked his spot. Kelsall bet out $4,800 preflop from the small blind and was called by the player in the big blind. The flop came J 6 3 and Kelsall and his opponent started a raising war that ended with Kelsall making a pot size pot for all his chips of approximately $25,000. The player in the big blind called and showed his cards. Kelsall pushed with A K 5 2 and his opponent called with A A J 6. The turn brought the 2 for Kelsall and the river was the 9. Kelsall scooped the pot with the ace high flush and his opponent couldn't make a low. Kelsall was up to $60,000 after the hand. Kelsall commented that this event is the first time he has played pot limit omaha. He was supposed play in today's $2,000 Limit Hold 'Em event but entered in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha eight-or-better yesterday to avoid losing money playing craps with his friend.
Jeff Madsen made an early exit from the tournament area even though he still had chips sitting in front of him. With the board showing 10 8 6 the player in seat six made a pot sized bet of $7,500. The seven seat folded and Madsen called. The player in seat four reraised all in and the player in seat six got out of the way. Madsen counted out the necessary chips and called. Madsen flipped up K 10 10 9 for top set and the player in seat four showed A K 4 2. The turn was the 3 and the river was the 7 giving the player in seat four a runner runner flush. Madsen had no low and got up from the table so fast that all of his remaining chips fell over into a pile. Madsen exited the tournament area and hasn't been seen since.
Marcel Luske had been playing aggressive all afternoon, constantly raising and reraising the players at his table to pick up the blinds and easy money. Chad Brown waited patiently to put a move on Luske and did so right as the bubble drew near. Brown bet out $3,800 before the flop and Luske called. The flop came J 8 6 and Brown made it $8,000 to go. Luske called instantly and the flop came 4. Brown checked and Luske pushed the rest of his chips into the middle. Brown instantly called and had Luske covered. Luske turned over Q Q 7 2 and Brown had him dominated with A A 7 3. The 10 came on the river disqualifying any low and Brown took down the massive pot and eliminated Luske out of the money.
Marcel Luske and Chad Brown are sharing the felt at table 41, while Tony G and David "Devilfish" Ulliot are battling each other at table 60.

In addition to having interesting garb, this player enjoyed the honor of scooping a huge pot and eliminating two opponents in one hand.
