With the elimination of Chad Brown in 11th place ($10,212), the remaining ten players converged on one table to play down to the final table. It nearly two hours to lose the next play, with mostly small to medium size pots taking place between comfortably large stacks. Vivek Rajkumar had a vociferous rail who would drunkenly yell "ship it" whenever he took down a hand. Rajkumar took down a pot that had three players put in four bets, but David Pham capped the betting and only Rajkumar called. The flop brought the A 9 6, Pham led out, and Rajkumar raised to $20,000. Pham went into the tank for three minutes and eventually folded. Rajkumar's rail took to calling him "the dragon-slayer," despite the fact that Pham still has a very solid stack and very likely the most experience at a final table of this caliber. The final elimination of the night came down when Jonathan Tamayo got all-in preflop against Pham with 10 10 against Pham's K K. The board came down Q 9 3 7 J and the final table was decided. Tamayo took home $10,212 for his tenth place finish. The chip leader at the end of the day was Alex Borteh, with $389,000 in chips.
The final table seating assignments are as follows:
1.Vivek Rajkumar
2.Petri Pollenan
3.David Pham
4.Marco Johnson
5.Matthew Kelly
6.Shawn Keller
7.Brandon Wong
8.Alex Borteh
9.Michael Byrne
With $225,483 and a gold bracelet on the line, the final table is sure to be exciting. Make sure to check back for more updates at Cardplayer.com as play resumes tomorrow at 3 p.m.
With the elimination of Greg Mueller in 20th place ($7,761) and Dean Tran in 19th ($7,761), the final two tables of The $3,000 limit hold'em event were set. Table 66 would play host to JJ Liu and Chad Brown, while Table 72 housed David "The Dragon" Pham and Max Pescatori. JJ Liu would only outlast three more players before busting in 15th place. Max Pescatori was later all-in on a board of 6 5 5 J with A 8 against his opponents 10 10. Pescatori wanted a heart, but made sure to clarify that he didn't want the ten of hearts. A second later, the 10 hit the board, and Max was eliminated by his opponent's full house. Two other short stacked players followed quickly on Pescatori's heels, leaving only the eleven deeper stacks at the end of level 15. Play will continue until two more players hit the rail and the final table is set, so make sure to check back for more updates here at Cardplayer.com.
Dinner break began shortly after 10 p.m. for the 24 players who remained in the the $3,000 limit hold'em event. Richard Brodie found himself all-in only minutes before the break with A-Q on a board of Q 6 4 6 6, only to split the pot when his opponent also revealed A-Q.
When players returned from the dinner break at 11:40 p.m., the next pay jump was only five eliminations away.
Brown and Mueller Go Up and Down
Chad Brown, who is doing double duty in this event and the $5,000 omaha eight or better event, had a sick beat put on him by Greg Mueller. Brown flopped a set of kings and Mueller called all the way down with pocket aces, only to hit an ace on the river. Brown was left with $14,000, which he had all-in soon after. This time Brown caught an ace on the flop, and his A 10 outran the K K of his opponent, ending the hand with almost $50,000. Mueller faced similar circumstances later in the level, losing a big pot with 7 7 against A A. Down to around $10,000, Mueller got all-in preflop with 10 10 and won a race against K Q to stay alive in the tournament. That tournament life didn't last long however, and Mueller busted just before the end of the level.
Eliminations
Phil Hellmuth hit the rail only minutes after the dinner break when he got all of his money in with kings against nines, only to have his opponent outdraw him. Richard Brodie busted later in the level. Only twenty players remained at the end of level 14, meaning that the next payout jump was only one bust away.

The money bubble has burst. With payouts beginning at 27th place, and only 28 players remaining, hand-for-hand began mid-way through the level. The players have been moved to the final three tables, and play will continue until the final table is set. Players will have a dinner break from 10 to 11 p.m.

Phil Hellmuth is also still alive in the tournament. Hellmuth tied T.J. CLoutier for making the most final tables only days ago, and he has a chance to break the record today.
Eliminations
Bryan Devonshire was eliminated when he ran into the trip kings of an opponent. Ted Forrest found himself all-in in a multi-way pot before the flop, creating a side pot between the other three players. The board came down J 10 9. Another player got all in on the flop, and a second side pot was created. The turn brought a 5, a player in middle position checked, and the other player called in position. The river brought the 2, everyone checked and the late position player showed A A. Everyone else mucked, including Ted Forrest, who was eliminated with only around 45 players remaining. J.C. Tran and Kenna James also hit the rail this past level.

Thor Hansen was the most recent pro to succumb to a short stack, falling in 51st place.
J.J. Liu took a pot off of Bryan Devonshire. With a board 10 6 4 K Q, Devonshire called Lieu down and folded when she showed him A10.
Mueller also lost a decent-sized pot to Ted Forrest. The betting was capped pre-flop. Mueller check called Forrest all the way to the river with the board showing 10 8 4 Q 8. Forrest revealed his K K and Mueller mucked his hand.
Phil Hellmuth is still alive and well, much to the delight of the railbirds, and Harrahs.
Barry Greenstein, Annie Duke, and David Plastik have all been elminated in the last hour.
Greenstein failed to connect with his Q-J, stayed a brief moment to autograph his book, and headed for the exit. Annie Duke was enjoying sharing the table with the always-entertaining Phil Hellmuth. That is until she became short on chips. Hellmuth was actually the one to bust her; she could not catch up to his pocket nines.
Bryan Devonshire, Dan Alspach, and Richard "Quiet Lion" Brodie have joined Greg Mueller atop the leaderboard in chips. There are still 8 tables remaining with 65 players. Only the top 27 will finish in the money.

The remaining 110 players have finally gotten to their seats. The restart was delayed an hour, due to the lack of table space. Eyes will be on Greg "FBT" Mueller, JC Tran, and of course Phil Hellmuth.
