Scott Fischman Eliminated on Bubble
Kevin O'Donnell limps and David Halpern calls in the small blind. Scott Fischman checks in the big blind and the flop comes J53. Halpern and Fischman check and O'Donnell bets $2,000. Halpern folds and Fischman raises to almost put himself all-in (as much as the pot will allow), leaving himself just over $1,000. O'Donnell makes the extra bet to put him all-in and Fischman calls. Fischman shows QQQ3 and O'Donnell flips up A532 for two pair and the lead. The turn puts the 6 on the board and the river brings the 9 and is no help to Fischman, who is eliminated on the bubble. The remaining 18 players are in the money and will return to play tomorrow at 4 pm PDT.

Wahlroos Eliminated by Giang
On a flop of K105, Thomas Wahlroos bets $22,000. After what seemed liked several minutes of deliberation, Chau giang re-raises another $24,100, forcing Wahlroos to make a decision for all of his chips. Wahlroos calls the all-in, and flips over 7552 for a set of 5's. Giang shows J10107 for a set of 10's. The turn and river bring the J and the A, no help to either player. Giang now has $145,000 after this hand. As Wahlroos ships the rest of his chips to Giang, Wahlroos says, "At least I get to sleep off my hangover tomorrow". Giang replies, "Don't you know who I am? Pot-Limit Omaha! I'll send you home."

Ed Jordan Eliminated
Ed Jordan raises all-in on a board of Q108K and Dan Harmetz makes the call. Harmetz shows AJ72 for the straight to the Queen. Jordan shows 1010K3 for a set of Tens. The board doesn't pair when the 7 hits the river, and Jordan is eliminated near the bubble.

$100,000 Hand
From 2nd position Jani Vilmunen ($57,000) calls the big blind. The player from the cut-off position calls as does the small blind. From the big blind, Sherkhan Farnood ($47,000) bets the pot ($2,400). Vilmunen makes the call. The flop comes Q109. Farnood checks and Vilmunen bets the pot ($6,200). Farnood raises the pot ($28,200). Vilmunen thinks for awhile. After around three minutes, Farnood starts talking to the rest of the table and asks if it would be rude to call the clock on a fellow European. After around 10 minutes, Farnood apologizes to Vilmunen but calls the clock. He tells Vilmunen he will be all-in the next card no matter what. Vilmunen makes the call. The 3 hits and Farnood goes all-in for around $25,000 more. Vilmunen calls instantly. Sherkhan shows the KJ for the nuts straight. Vilmunen is visibly upset as he shows a straight but a lesser one (J8). Vilmunen calls for a spade as he also has the 10. But the 2 falls on the river and Farnood rakes in a monster pot. Farnood has $113,000 while Vilmunen is down to $6,100.
