Phil Ivey Doubles Up
A player under the gun raises to $1,500, Phil Ivey reraises to $6,000 from early position, and the player on the button moves all in for about $8,000 more. The under-the-gun player folds, and Ivey calls with Ac-Ks. The button shows a pair of jacks (Jh-Js), and they're off to the races. But wait, another player announces that he also folded A-K. Ivey's race situation just became an underdog situation. Ivey has the other player covered, but not by much.
The flop comes Qs-6d-3c, and Ivey will need to catch one of the remaining aces or kings (four outs) to stay alive. The turn card is the 2s, and the river card is -- the ace of diamonds. Ivey hits a four-outer to stay alive and nearly double up, eliminating the other player. Ivey now has about $28,000 in chips.

Joe Sebok Eliminated
Adam Friedman limps for $300 from the small blind, and Joe Sebok checks his option from the big blind. The flop comes J-J-7, and both players check. The turn card double-pairs the board with another 7, Friedman checks, Sebok bets $600, and Friedman calls. The river card is an 8, Friedman checks, Sebok bets $2,000, Friedman moves all in, and Sebok calls with his last $3,000 or so. Sebok shows a 7 for sevens full of jacks, but Friedman had slowplayed A-J -- jacks full of sevens. Friedman takes the pot, and Joe Sebok is eliminated from the tournament.
