Joe Cassidy Eliminated in 7th Place ($144,895)
Joe Cassidy raises all in to $595,000 from the cutoff position, and Phil Laak calls from the small blind with pocket sevens (7c-7d). Cassidy shows Jc-9s, and he is likely pleased that he has two live overcards in a race situation. The flop comes 6c-4h-2h, and Laak retainst he lead with his pocket pair. The turn card pairs the board with the 6s, and Cassidy needs a nine or a jack on the river to stay alive. But the last card is the Qd, and Joe Cassidy is eliminated in seventh place, earning $144,895.
The remaining six players will count, verify, and bag their chips. They'll return tomorrow at 7:00 pm for the WPT Final Table.
Official chip counts coming soon.

Bengt Sonnert raises to $200,000, Rehne Pedersen calls from the cutoff position, and Phil Laak calls from the big blind. Sonnert will need to catch an eight, a ten, or a runner-runner straight or flush to stay alive. The turn card is the 2h, and Sonnert is down to five outs. The river card is the 5c, and Bengt Sonnert is eliminated in eighth place, earning $128,795.

Joanne "J.J." Liu raises to $150,000, David Levi moves all in for about $400,000, and Liu calls with Kh-Jh. Levi shows Ah-Kd, and he has her dominated, hoping to double up here.
The flop comes Jc-6h-4d, and Liu takes the lead with a pair of jacks. Levi now needs to catch an ace to stay alive, but the last two cards fall 6s-5d. David Levi is eliminated in ninth place, earning $112,695.

Joanne "J.J." Liu Doubles Through Patrik Antonius
In the last hand before the break, Patrik Antonius raises to $125,000, and Joanne "J.J." Liu calls. The flop comes Qh-6h-3h, Antonius bets $200,000, Liu raises to $500,000, and Antonius moves all in. Liu thinks long and hard before calling with pocket aces (Ac-Ad). Antonius shows Ks-Qd (pair of queens). Since neither player has a heart, running hearts would chop the pot. Otherwise, Antonius needs to catch a queen or a king to eliminate Liu. The turn card is the As, giving Liu a set and leaving Antonius drawing dead. (The meaningless river card is the 10s.) Joanne "J.J." Liu doubles up to nearly $4 million in chips.
